poured from a 16oz can i to a pint glass. pours a hazy orange with a finger of frothy white foam. pine, blueberries, dank weed and a touch of citrus on the nose. taste follows with a huge dank bubblegum finish. this is delicious. medium-full mouthfeel with a slightly dry finish. overall, a wonderful concoction of dank blueberry and pine and citrus. excellent all-Mosaic expression.

With the more beers I taste from this brewery the more obvious the flavor profile becomes that they all seem to share. I could swear they are all brewed with Sabro hops but that isn't the case usually.
This is one of the better offerings from HBFTW due to the simple fact that the coconut flavor is kept to a minimum. These guys know their beer, I just wish they would go out of their comfort zone and brew a West Coast style just to see what the'yre made of, without the toasted caramel/coconut flavor.

Gold in color with a hazy complexion and an inch of off white on top that is tightly knit and densely packed. After a few minutes and sips it is down to a fingernail. The aroma is of vegetal to earthy hops. I’m tasting green veggies and earthy hops. The mouth is smooth and easygoing especially for the ABV.

16oz can. Poured out a very cloudy, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of pineapple, grapefruit, orange and toasted caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney, sharp bitterness.

This is super gas, Mosaic flavors shine bright and heavy with a deep juicy feeling to balance it all out. I really enjoyed this one, could maybe be a smidge more intense but just a great beer.

Canned 1.5.21, opened 2.13.21
Can received in a ninja strike from @fbarber , poured into a Schilling stemmed glass
Turbid orange liquid crowned by a creamy pencil thin layer that quickly fades to a wispy island anding. Looks like orange juice and maybe a fresh apple cider
Aroma is tropical, mango, hint of berry, whiff of pine
taste is light citrus, pineapple, bubblegum, tropical fruits
Low sudsing, very smooth, not creamy, hop taste with no bite
Delicious beer this one
Thanks @fbarber !

Very fresh tasting canned 1/5/21. My review 13Jan.
16oz can into well frosted bar glass. Delicate lacing, nice pearl colored frothy head. Sweet tropical aromas off the nose juciness abounds.
Creamy mouthfeel on palate. Mosaic and cryo hops used wonderfully balanced to finish of pineapple /orangy sweetness.
It's labeled a double IPA. This bad boy drinks like a superb NE/IPA.
HOP BUTCHER cranks out hugely delicious hoppy IPA'S. Another example of their handiwork. Excellent brew!!!

Pours dark orange and thick like pulpy juice. The nose is tropical and dank. Light head, that laces well. Taste is a burn of hops up front, then pineapple. Nice hops through the sip, but the initial burn is a little off putting. Mouth feel is decent, but not as thick as expected from the pour. I may sit in this a few weeks and see what happens with a little age bc this dropped yesterday.
Update: 2 weeks later this beer is perfect! Wish I had stocked up, the hop burn is gone, the nose bloomed and and the mouthfeel has rounded out. I'm upgrading my scores overall.

16oz can, dated 01.05.2021, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a very hazy golden straw color, orange hues with a foamy white head that offers good retention and yields excellent swatches of soapy lacing. The aroma is nice, grassy, dank green hop, raw and oily with a nice pleasant floral character leads the way while there is a pleasant fruit and berry layer that really comes to life as this warms and plays nicely with a soft dough and sweet yeast finish. The flavors are good, grassy and dank hops jump out of the glass, raw green hop leaf, resinous and moderately bitter yields to a soft wildflower bouquet and a thicket of fresh picked berries, a hint of citrus and tropical puree sit on a bed of doughy grain, mineral water and sweet yeast. The mouthfeel is good, coating and creamy with a full medium body that finishes easily with a lightly dry bite.
Verdict: A nice IPA from Hop Butcher. A very interesting mix of hoppy flavors that focus more on the grassier elements with a more pronounced berry fruit flavor rather than a more common tropical and citrus dominated offering.

Pours a murky yellow almost like pineapple juice colored but with little more haze. Head is thumb sized with aggressive pour not quite off white but closer then white, white. leaves some good lace behind.
Aroma is lighter fruitiness lots of melon, pineapple, tangerine, lemon with some grassy notes for bitterness. Malty ifs bread like almost doughnut like as its sweet and blends with the light fruitiness nicely.
Taste is like the nose light and fruity, good fruity notes on a nice malt base. Pretty much a good NEIPA wouldn't consider this to be imperial anything. Solid beer in a style that is way over done now a days. Hard to give it bad marks just wish for a touch more bitterness.
Mouthfeel is spot on medium with carbonation that is peppy but more mellow in the finish, well done.
Overall eh not bad can't really knock it for anything, definitely had worse in this style.

Thanks Nick for the can! Super hazy yellow body with a tight pearl white head with beautiful thick lacing. Smells of orange, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon, and decently dank grassy hops. Taste is sweeter yet more vibrant, like a nectar of tropical and citrus fruit before the hops tame the palate and cut the sweetness, with some pithy grapefruit helping too. Feel is hazy with some dankness, refreshing with the fruit feel, and creamily smooth, well balanced medium body.

A: This has a lovely appearance - pours bright yellow/orange with absolutely no light coming through and has a sticky white compact head. Just a classic-looking NE IPA.
S: Melon, citrus, orange.
T: Melon rind, orange candies, grapefruit. Hop bitterness and grapefruit linger on the tongue. It's very floral and soft. Very juicy.
M: This one's kinda heavy actually - not like a stout or anything, but it drinks like a pulpy orange juice without the pulp. It goes down very softly and smoothly.
O: Great beer, not blowing my socks off. I really like this one and would buy again. It's unique in flavor and does not disappoint. If the thickness was toned down just a bit it would earn more points. Otherwise I like it a lot.

It’s been a while since I was really blown away by a hazy IPA (which this clearly is, despite the categorization, unless we’re lumping NE IIPAs into the imperial IPA bucket — I’m grading it as a NE IPA). But this one did it, both on initial experience with it and in subsequent cans over the course of a little over a month. Really amazing beer that hits triples and home runs across the sensory spectrum.
Look is pure light pulp OJ, with heavy haze, lightness on the edges, and murk in the middle. A huge multi-finger head falls to a thin film quickly, though a half-finger of bright white bubbles can be reproduced with a few swirls. Some spotty lacing down the glass.
Big, bold aromas of candied orange, dank greens, honeysuckle, peach, mango, grape musk, lemon peel, mixed berries, pineapple, and honeydew. Perhaps a little crackery malt, but this one is all fruits and grass. Comes off as more citrus and stone fruit than tropical, but there’s certainly an overall exotic tropical fruit vibe. Truly fantastic, and it evolved amazingly between my first can in mid-June and last can in late-July. No fall off to speak of.
Flavor profile comes amazingly close to keeping up with the nose, but isn’t quite as complex and a tiny amount of starchy “greeness” knocks it down just a hair. Fortunately the moderate fruit sweetness balances out that sharp greenery well. I don’t know if lactose is used in this beer, but the sweetness on the tongue and lushness of the feel have that kind of characteristic. Either way, it’s wonderful. Citrus, stone fruit, and berry heavy, only here it’s more of a muddled fruit salad experience (not necessarily a criticism) than nuanced layer upon layer like the nose. There’s a nice, pithy grapefruit element that balances the sweetness well. Aftertaste is mildly sweet with a nice shot of bitterness lurking behind it. I could drink this all day long.
Feel is incredibly smooth and soft. Typical velvety mouthfeel with all the particulate, though the beer itself isn’t sticky or thick. Goes down so easy.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 1/14/20, had 1/23/20.
Looks like foamy orange juice. The pour yields a two and a half inch creamy foam head with great retention and lots of foamy lacing. Aromas of orange as suggested in the tasting notes on the can, light lemon, some lactose- although none was used. Smells grassy- real grassy, and lightly dank. Flavors of orange, some melon, cream, some lemon, not as grassy as the aroma but a little more earthy. Has a modest hop bitterness that lingers on the finish. Smooth, refreshing, somewhat creamy, a solid lighter body, well carbonated.
Don’t pick up the other suggested tasting notes- cotton candy or a berry medley, but what I do pick up is awfully tasty. Like many of their offerings, this is pretty straightforward but just really well done. Well worth a purchase if it comes around again.
