Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma has some grainy malts and fruity hops with ripe peach and mango. Taste is sweet and juicy at first but finishes with a vegetal / herbal bitterness. Quite good but nothing too special.

Pours a hazy golden orange, with fine, soft foam.

Smell is fruity and juicy, with notes of citrus, pineapple, jelly candy and a hint of sweetness.

Taste follows the smell well, and brings a very nice, solid bitterness to the table. There is a slight grassiness on the finish, along with just a hint of warming alcohol. Great balance, and very little booziness.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy, with good carbonation.

Overall, a terrific DIPA, with great texture.

Hazy goldenrod with trailing lumpy white head. 4
Some juicy lemon chiffon and peach juice but some odd rubber band + apricot esters, too. 3.75
Maybe a hint of lagery cracker, then a metric ton of peach juice, with some mild papaya, lemongrass spice, and passionfruit with a tingly linger. 4
Medium, soft, round. 4

Motueka, Mosaic, NS, and Simcoe

The most Vermont of them all - practically just a smoothie. Losing some of the more interesting edges of Mosaic + Nelson behind fruit and more fruit. Gets the tart edge to orchard fruit, too. Tasty, but not as compelling as some other Cloudwaters. 4

2019 version: Cleaner + clearer than what NEIPA usually brings these days. Melon + gooseberry. Still not their best, but be _not murky enough_ these days.

Bottle from Real Ale in Twickenham. Lovely colour, hazy and on the darker side of yellow. Really interesting brew, smelling like fruity sweets and tasting not far off that, with quite a soapy sweetness backing up all those US hops.

330ml bottle into a conical 2/3 pint glass. Paid £3.60 for a single bottle.

Pours a hazy, pale, golden-orange coloured body with a small amount of streaming carbonation visible near the edges of the glass. A one-finger in height, mousse-like, white head condenses slowly to a dense cap with excellent retention, leaving behind plenty of soapy lace.

The simple but bright and hop forward nose consists primarily of yellow grapefruit juice, flesh and bitter peels. Hints of floral, grassy and pine hop profiles are noticeable underneath, while traces of alcohol become apparent towards the back end. Taste roughly follows suit, but is drier, crisper and more complex than expected. Juicy citric fruits dominate initially, but grapefruit bitterness is quickly sweetened by ripe orange, apricot, pineapple and mango not noted in the aroma. Mid-palate, slightly sweet, grainy pale malts are revealed, but serve only as a crisp and dry backdrop against which the yeast and hop profiles are intended to shine. In the mouth, a light body and moderately lively carbonation give a crisp, dry and refreshing feel, that’s reasonably smooth, despite being a little thin. Towards the end, faintly floral and resinous pine-like hop profiles join bitter grapefruit peels to finish with a lingering, but not unpleasant bitterness.

Overall this is a very good beer. It’s bright, clean, crisp and refreshing, but complex enough to remain interesting throughout. It manages to disguise its 8.3% ABV incredibly well, with only the slightest trace of alcohol becoming perceptible in the finish to further the beers high drinkability. Recommended.

Hazy yellow body with a thin white head
Very fruity and punchy in the nose
The taste follows but is a bit restrained. It opens up as it warms up
Vivid carbonation, still smooth
Nice dipa
