look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75
Pours a cloudy light peach-straw color with an overly massive white head that has good density and the slightest pink hue. Good retention and clumpy lacing.
Nice, lightly sour wheat aroma with some hard-to-place fruit and a wood impression.
Puckering tartness and sharp acidity make the taste nowhere near as delicate and balanced as the look and smell. There is a fruitiness again — this time coming across as cranberry and light pineapple. The wheat character is again quite nice. The acidity is a bit much though.
Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation. It’s honestly hard to appreciate the feel through the acidic sting.
This one started off amazing, but the acidity is too heavy handed to be a higher echelon brew. Still enjoyable.
