Notes: El Dorado, Belma, and Mosaic hops and 4 different malts.

Higher Burnin' is brewed in celebration of the late 5 Pointz: NYC's graffiti mecca. This IPA is hazy, bright orange in color with aromatics of juicy fruit, strawberry, & nectarine. Orange marmalade and candied citrus flavors emerge with a subtle piney bitterness, finishing long, lush and dry.

If this beer was a painting, they wouldn’t be hanging it in the Louve, ya feel me? Like, damn it’s ugly. All “off” Orange like a jack o lantern in July. No thanks. When i sniffed the sucker, I was pleasantly surprised llthpugh. Maybe Tahiti after rainfall - all tropical and clean. But the taste...omg...the taste! Nasty! It’s like old, dirty fruit. Can’t say I’ve had anything like it. It’s not vile, but it’s just not my thing.

Like the NL adopting the DH, no sir!

*Hey now. Pretty weird. This beer all of a sudden flipped a switch. It got pretty damn clean with beautiful melon and a soft feel. I’m feelin’ it.

Poured from pint can. Light/hazy orange in color, a fun medium bodied beer with a balanced taste. Has a backbone at 7% abv though has a mellow well blended flavor. Easy to drink.

Medium bodied, light carbonation. Semi-sweet, bitter finish.

This is one tasty concoction. Fruity.

From the can it pours a hazy orange color. A moderate head displays decent retention.

The nose opens with strong notes of pineapple and hints of tropical fruit. Stone fruit aromas evoke notes of peach, nectarine and apricot. The malt aromas are sweet and bready with notes of biscuit, honey and caramel.

Juicy hops flavors, which balanced with the biscuity and doughy malt evoke a jammy marmalade and fruity preserve taste. Hoppy flavors of peach, nectarine, pineapple, mango and citrus fruit come to dominate the palate, providing a tangy and zesty spice. The bitterness is mild yet assertive, with notes of pine resin.

Medium bodied and moderately carbonated. The feel is somewhat crisp, while the finish is dry, long and fruity.

Solid hazy IPA overall. It is very drinkable.

Hazy, fruit forward IPA. Tons of citrus on the nose and palate reminiscent of orange juice in the mouth feel. Mango and apricot and pineapple in there as well. Very refreshing on a warm day by the grill.

Very nice IPA - mouthfeel and juiciness almost reminded me of a New England style IPA. Could not find a date printed on the can. Pours a hazy yellow-orange color with lots of fluffy white head and some small rings of lingering lacing. Smells nice and bright and dank, ripe grapefruit, pineapple, mango, lemon and tangerine hops. Also some malt, creamy vanilla, bread and weaker floral and herbal hops. Taste follows the nose, great balance and depth and very flavorful. Smooth, sticky, juicy, slightly soft mouthfeel and great amount of carbonation. A very well crafted beer from a brewery that's new to me.

LIC Beer Project’s Higher Burnin IPA 7% ABV 80 IBU. This IPA pours a very hazy caramel orange color with a two finger width slightly off white colored head that lingers for a bit before leaving tons of lacing on the glass. The aroma is absolutely amazing with fruit being the predominant aroma with hints of mangoes pineapples apricots passion fruit tartness grapefruit flesh and peel with a bit of pine finishing it off. The flavor is of grapefruit mangoes pineapples oranges hints of apricots passion fruit there are also floral notes from the hops along with pine before finishing with a grapefruit peel hop bitterness to balance out the sweetness of the malts. The mouthfeel is medium body with a decent amount of carbonation. The IPA is very well balanced and delicious. 7/10

Pours a foggy orange. Aroma is resiny, orange, tangerine, herbal and dank hops. Sticky up front and remains all the way through. Flavor profile is resin, dank, herbal and orange with a little hop burn at the back. Mouth feel is lightly velvety but turns to a more bubbly texture. It has a medium thickness. Overall, sticky and refreshing.

16oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of orange, pineapple and toasted caramel. Sweet and tropical with caramel maltiness.

1 pint can without production codes or freshness dating

Notes via stream of consciousness: Another haze bomb! It's beyond the cloudiest of hefeweizens and bordering on becoming murky. It's orange-ish beneath a yellowish off-white head. The aroma suggests strawberry, other berries, pineapple, orange, and melon. It's not the brightest aroma given that it's an IPA but it's decent enough. The flavor follows the aroma with a firm, sweetish and bready maltiness. I'm not really finding any more fruitiness but there is a touch of something that's a bit like pine. A firm bitterness balances it and it finishes mainly dry with some of that semi-pine lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied with a little zest on the tongue from the carbonation and then creamy smooth. Overall it's pretty decent all-around.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a conical pint glass; no obvious production information.
A: Pours a very hazy, caramel color with a two finger, fluffy, lemon chiffon head, excellent retention and rings and rings of Belgian lacing.
S: Aromas of caramel, citrus, and mint.
T: Semisweet. Caramel backbone is clear with spearmint, cantaloupe, and pine resin.
M: Medium bodied with moderate to strong effervescence. Slightly chewy.
O: Delicious and a bit off-beat. $16 for a 4 pack at Polywoda Beverage in Southold, NY.

Bodega to boat, in a large coffee cup, leaps a...
a) Big meringue and rocky, stiff white head, that lasts and laces, over a fruit juice yellow body.
s) Acidic, mellow, well harmonized balance of fruit, hop, grass, berry, and citrus.
t) Larger taste profile that lasts 75 minutes via a boat ride home. Blueberry from the Mosaic, orange rind, grass, strawberry, pineapple, resins, and melon.
f) chewy, clean, a bit too sweet.
o) Works for me. but it's $6 at my bodega...

Where's the flavor? Typical smell goes with this flavorless brew. Looks awesome and the mouthfeel is superb! Just that when you swallow then inhale you're disappointed with a lack of flavor or at least I was, IDK

N: Lots of hops, resin, floral, and citrus.
T: Slight bite with refreshing citrus, some floral sweetness with a minor pine/resin hit.
M: Medium feel, easy to drink but some bite to it, overall a very enjoyable beer.
O: Liked this a lot, good east/west feel to it. Very enjoyable.

Not a fan of this as a New England style IPA. It was more bitter and harsh than I expect a New England style IPA to be. If something like Tree House Jjjjuliusss! is the bar (and in my opinion should be) this is not an enjoyable beer.

L: Opaque yellow like orange juice with a small tight white head. Medium-poor retention. A thin film remains, leaving spotty lacing.

S: Big mango, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, and tangerine. Ripe and juicy.

T: Big pop of apricot, mango, and pineapple upfront, followed by some passion fruit and guava. Rather muddle, however. Creamy white bread/raw dough malt backbone. Finishes with no bitterness, but a chalky dryness with some minty yeast notes.

F: Creamy, thick, moderately carbonated.

O: A decent NEIPA, but a bit disappointing with some of its flaws, like yeast bite.

A: The beer is cloudy light yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that gradually died down, leaving a thin film of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of stone fruit, grapefruit, and pine are present in the nose.
T: The taste starts off with flavors of stone fruit and has hints of grapefruit, mango, and pine in the finish. No bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. No crispness is detectable.
O: This IPA has an interesting mélange of aromas and flavors from the hops. It looked like this would be very "juicy" based on its initial appearance, but the piney flavors in the taste kept things in check. It had a good balance among the hop varieties.

Tapped from THE SUB into a half-pint glass.
Hazy-opaque with fluffy head and sticky lacing.
Smells dank and tropical with just a whiff of ozone (first glass).
Tastes bitter and delightful! Really resinous, not particularly dry, chewy and peinappley.
Solid (D?)IPA. Nothing remarkable, but would definitely drink again.

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A really bright and enjoyable IPA

Another great @ NYC brew that I had on tap at Jack's. Light and easy/ refreshing but nicely complex with juicey mango and papaya notes. Don't know Belma hops, some about El Dorado...but the Mosaic really came through. Good on its own but went great with salad and fish for dinner.
