I absolutely love this place. Always a great selection and service. The food truck is very good too. My favorite beer is the Night Hike but several others are very good and they always cover several styles.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon 8-14-22 while driving and sightseeing along US-64. Kind of stumbled into it. It was pretty dead in the 2:00 hour which surprised me a bit.

Can see the vibe is cool, Appalachian Trail centric with a wonderful horizontal map that was about 10 feet long of the AT! Old hiking shoes and other maps adorned the place. Room for maybe 75 inside plus outside seating.

Quality was solid as i had the ALES for ALS DIPA and had most of Da Boss Golden Ale which was solid, even after having a nice DIPA.

Service was solid as i was able to get the opine of the bartender on their WCIPA's and the recommendation of ALES for ALS was spot on. Beers were served up promptly.

Selection was better than expected with 20 taps available, a nice balance between Light, Malty, Hoppy, Sour, and Other.

Did not get any food from the truck.

A nice stop when in Franklin, NC. Was definitely impressed with the beer quality and chill atmosphere!

Great adaptive reuse of 1960s-era office or industrial building located near the top of the steep hill that serves as the Main Street of Franklin. They've got a large offering of different styles.

Good, not great. Excellent service with a smile but their clean beers were as boring as a Baptist sermon! Margarita Gose was their best offering IMO as their hoppy beers were extremely disappointing with hints of unbalanced recipes and off flavors.

For Lazy Hiker, I could maybe rate them higher on the scale, but will leave room for some growth...Nice location downtown, and great vibe on a Saturday afternoon. It's in an old town center or fire hall or something, and it was hoppin', literally... pun alert. Lots of great choices available, and all our beers in the flight were excellent...will rate them separately, elsewhere...Standouts for me were, Slack Pack IPA (I am just getting into ipa's), Winter Nutterland, awesome brown ale...Their Amber is great...Lazy Englishman Brown Ale will take you down easy, at a swaggering 9.1%abv, I grabbed a full growler of that. The Lazy Hiker Wesser Evil porter is worth the drive on its own... Nice glassware and schwag, decent logo....Great bartender, lots of fun...It's a must see place, and not just the brewery pub. 3 cheers!

All the beers I've tried from Lazy Hiker have been excellent. Their 'Belgian Dark Strong' was among the best Belgian Darks/Guads I've ever had. Its run by good people, has a great vibe, and is pet friendly to boot. Awesome place.

Great spot in Franklin. Little brewery at the top of the hill downtown. Good selection of beer - my favorite being the porter. Visited with Bro, Bob Shields and Spanky the day before we rode the Dragon's Tail in Deal's Gap.

Small new brewery only open about 3 months ago. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon when there were not many other persons there. The place could use some decoration to give it some character, but it's clean and bright with a decent patio out front. Staff was attentive, but a little unengaged. We just grabbed a flight & chose five of the eight beers on tap. We had three IPAs (incl a session and a double), a Scotch ale and a porter. They were all solid, but the DIPA and the Scotch stood out. There's a space outside for live music & I'm sure this would be an easy place to hang out on a cool autumn afternoon. It's definitely worth a stop if you're near Franklin.
