look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

pours a deep black with mildly think light tan head

nose- not too overwhelming, but lots going on here. fresh and resiny, pine, dark malt, faint coffee and chocolate, citrus rind

taste- wow, real nice. lush wet hops come make their presence known with resiny citrus and pine, dark malt with coffee, finishes with a wave of dry roasted malt and a slight lingering fruitiness

feel- resinous, sticky, drinkable, moderately thick

really enjoyed this. Black Ales/black IPAs are hit and miss for me, I'm not exremely familiar with them, but I love fresh hopped beers and I thought this turned out real nice
