Fresh growler from the brewery.

Pours a swirling golden-orange the brightens to yellow around the edges, with a voluminous, fluffy white head, eventually giving way to ample sticky lacing. The nose is a bit muted but does feature a warm, honeyed citrus element. Nothing amazing to write home about there. Flavorwise, this beer takes the unique approach of featuring the malts first, mostly toffee and honey. The ABV isn't shy either, as the finish is somewhat boozy, though the hops finally show up in the finish, delivering a syrupy stone fruit profile. Somewhat lingering, astringent finish. Overall a very solid offering, I'd like the alcohol to be better hidden and the mouthfeel to be a bit lighter, but all-in-all solid.

8/29 draft...pours bronze, but dark. Foamed op, rings. Clove and peppery nose. Light pine too. Blend of malts, heavy hop bitter, and then dark fruits, funk. Good blend. Pokey bitter.

Can, pours a cloudy golden orange color with a white frothy head. There is a bit of lacing and good carbonation. For me, the odor is resin, pine, herbal, earthy, floral, orange, grapefruit, pine sap, some tropical fruits, slight burnt note. The taste for me is resin, herbal, dry, slightly metallic, hay, weedy, some citrus, lemon, orange, bitter through out.

Pours golden with a good sized white head that leaves nice lacing.

Smells of dank, berry like, and earthy hops. Some nice vinous notes, some slight funk, and a solid grainy malt backbone.

Very malt forward, caramel sweetness, and some dank earthy hops.

Full bodied, light carbonation, some alcohol in the after taste.

This is a very solid IIPA w/ some hints of farmhouse funk. I'd love for that to be more pronounced and for the hops to be a bit more in the forefront.

A: Standard gold color. Stellar lacing and good rocky, white head.

S: Berries, floral citrus, sweet tropical and grape musk.

M: Fairly heavy and oily, but has a good balance with carb to keep it feeling fresh.

T: Huge fan of nelson hops. Love the how the white wine flavors combine with the sturdy malt background. It's been heavily hopped although the bitter level remains sublime. Passionfruit, grape, lime, pine and peaches. Earthy saison clove spice, but still pretty dank.
