Honestly one of the best beers I've had in a while. Picked up less than 2 weeks ago from the brewery. Beautiful hazy color, not overly thick or too bright. Incredible nose, great head retention the whole way. This beer is bursting with hop flavors. Agressively hopped but not over hopped. Beautiful beer.

tastes bitter floral with the slightest hint of juice. oniony juice.
feels dry clean and thin lingering astringency
another meh beer. but at least it isn't an onion black pepper bomb.

A: Pale lemon. Hazy. A little dull without any backlight. Minimal head. Loose, spotty, delicate lacing.

S: Sweet mandarin, resin and pine, guava jelly, mango.

M: A little soft like there were oats added.

T: It really wobbles from sip to sip. Sometimes a blaring bitter and others a mildly, musty sweet citric cedar. The bitter snap is aggressively dominated by lime, grapefruit pith, and pine needles. Passionfruit, wild scape/onion jam. Every bit of sweetness tied to a spice, wood, or citrus mainstay.

Purchased on release day 3/3/2017. Two (2) days old. It pours a turbid tangerine yellow with one full finger of eggshell white head and lacing. It has a tangy citrus smell with lots of pine and floral hops. The taste is hop forward: the Citra and Apollo hops dominate the taste but there is a tangy lemon and grapefruit taste, as well. There is nothing sweet about this DIPA: no tropical fruit or sweet malt to speak of. The finish and aftertaste are quite bitter. It is medium bodied with pleasant carbonation and the 7.6% ABV is well masked. Overall, this is a bitter, hoppy DIPA. If your preference is for sweet fruit and malt this probably isn't for you but I enjoyed it.

I love me some citra hops! I do think their are better citra juice bomb IPAs out there but this one isn't bad at all!

16oz undated can received through the generosity of @MacMalt. The second and (unfortunately) last beer he sent me from Magnify.

Poured into a big Kane snifter of similar provenance as the beer, this was a hazy, orange juice-like color, with a moderate and not particularly long-lived head that left spotty and streaky lace on the sides of the glass. Said head was fairly easy to bring back to life with a twirl of the glass.

Very citrusy in the nose, with a mixture of grapefruit, orange and pineapple-like hop aromas watering the mouths of the workers on duty this Easter at my olfactory.

The taste is more complex but equally delicious seeming as the promise carried in the aroma. Sweet, fruity flavors are first in line, but with a bitter, astringentness that complements and balances the fruitiness instead of clashing with it. Different than the piney bitterness in a lot of PNW IPAs, it's a little more subtle and finishes more gently, though very dry.

Medium bodied, with a slightly restrained, oily, resiny mouthfeel when compared to most IPAs.

A really enjoyable east coast IPA that straddles the abv percentage line between IPA and Double IPA, but remains very drinkable. I'd never heard of Magnify before this last NBS BIF, but they are definitely on my radar now.

Traded for this right after it was released and finally got around to having it tonight. If you like juice bombs with hints of onion, garlic, and scallions, look no further. This was one of those beers that stayed true to form but deviated from the norm just enough to make it interesting, while not being terribly strong or overly hopped at the same time!

The pour to this was what I expected as the beer had a cloudy off-orange hue to it with plenty of head to boot. A solid ring of lacing was left along the upper third of my pint glass and there was plenty of carbonation to be seen and felt as well. Lots of tangerine, melon, honeydew, and stone fruit in the nose with just as much in the taste. A mild amount of resin in the mouthfeel and slight hint of urine gave this an odd depth but overall, this beer was relatively easygoing with a hint of orange cream and ice cream sweetness in the aftertaste. A bit of the onion, garlic, and scallions gave this a slight kick and complemented the stone fruit quite nicely, as I could feel a bit of a burn in my throat once this finally went down.

While moderate in alcohol, it's presence was quite recessed. At the end, I could feel a slight warming and a hint of it on my breath but the odd range of flavors was allowed to show through here. A mild amount of bready malt gave this body while remaining mostly neutral as only mild hints of it came through in the form of spicy grain. This was a solid beer that showcased the Citra hop nicely while allowing it not to dominate. Another solid offering from the up-and-coming brewery in my backyard!
