I had this on release day. Poured into tulip glass. It pours a cloudy, opaque orange-amber with a full finger of fluffy, milk-white head and lacing. It's really fragrant and smells of tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, pine needles, and floral hops. The first taste is sweet citrus and tropical fruit, with the slightest hint of caramel, and then a rush of hops, hops, and more hops. It finishes dry and very bitter. As the glass warms a little, there is more of a taste of sweet malt. This ale is medium-bodied and almost creamy in mouth feel, and its 8.5% ABV gives it nice substance without overwhelming. Overall, this is a terrific DIPA that will satisfy any hop lover. But it has decent balance and enough sweetness to be interesting and enjoyable. It's what you would expect when two excellent brewers of IPAs collaborate.

A - Pours a hazy, opaque light to medium orange color with thick white lacing.

S - Loaded with tropical fruit. Sweet resiny citrus, tangerine, sticky pine.

T - Sweet juicy grapefruit and spicy, peppery grapefruit rind from start to finish. Finishes with a lingering bitter pine and citrus rind.

M - Full bodied, thick, silky smooth with very low carbonation.

O - The 8.5% in this beer is extremely well hidden. Another "haze craze" D-IPA. Worth checking out.

S-Tropical notes.....apricot, guava, pineapple.........slight hints of onion, garlic

T-Sweet tropical fruits.......pineapple, cantaloupe, passionfruit........some grapefruit bitterness in the finish, maybe some slight pine.......bitterness is minimal

B-Medium, mild carb, solid coating of the mouth

O-well worth another visit

Pours a pale straw in color with a half finger of fuzzy white head. Aroma is candied citrus and tropical fruits with some resiny pine. Taste is candied orange, resiny pine, some alcohol, and a bit grassy in the finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall a solid beer but. It much more.

Traded for this not too long after it was released and finally got around to it tonight. I love the name and the label but in terms of the taste, this left a bit to be desired. It wasn't a bad beer as much as it just didn't live up to expectations. This wasn't sweet or hoppy enough to be truly memorable but was nicely crafted enough to be worth a go-around once...

This had a good pour to it as the beer was melon-hued and dank with more than enough head to complement the murky appearance. Lots of melon, cantaloupe, garlic, and scallions in the nose with even more of the latter two in the taste. This tasted more like a side dish for dinner than a beer that I'd want to enjoy by itself as the dry hops and grass combined with those aforementioned notes for a somewhat dry feel from start to finish. A bit of grapefruit bitterness and stone fruit juice saved this from being a letdown but I expected so much more from this beer, even though it wasn't a disappointment by a long shot...

Thankfully, it was quite difficult to feel the alcohol in this. Had it felt stronger, I would have rated it lower. As it was, it was worth a go once but not on the level of Peak Oil or Hype Train. Worth a go once though I wouldn't break any kind of bank to buy this. If it's released again, I'd give this another go-around with a fairly open mind...

Another tasty brew from Magnify. Pours a medium orange color. Really nice aroma. Sweet and juicy but also smooth and flavorful. You really get a nice hop hit and the alcohol level is just right.
