Collaboration with Sand City Brewing Co.

This beer is hopped heavily in the whirlpool with Citra and Huell Melon and double dry hopped with tons of galaxy as well as Citra and Simcoe lupulin powder.

The description says Triple Dry Hopped with Galaxy Hops and it created a most enjoyable IPA! Highly recommended!

8/16/20....pours cloudy gold with white foam that laces around the edge. Fresh citrus notes in the aroma. Sharp resiny flavors. Oily. Thick resins. Heavy bitter. One to tough out, for sure.

Decanting from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top taster glass; canned 07/14/20.
A: Pours a cloudy, golden-orange-brass color with a one and a half finger, eggshell white head, more than rim retention, and sticky rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of barley, honey, grapefruit, lime, basil, and pine predominate. Increasingly meaty/marinara as it warms.
T: More semidry than semisweet. Tangy without being tart. Flavor pallet follow the nose, but more subdued. More grainy as it warms. Bitterness in the background, but sufficient to subdue such sweetness as there is.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy and rich.
O: A collaboration with Sand City Brewing Co., Up Up & Away is well crafted and delicious NEIPA. Two great breweries making one great product.

On tap at Haymaker, NYC, it had the gold cloudy NE IPA looks down with a 2 finger head that faded slowly and left really nice lacing. Aroma was juicy but was not different in any way to make it that much above average. The bitterness was minimal and it was smooth with mild carbonation, but it faded on the tart side. Flavor was full of citrus with grapefruit, orange peel and tangerine mixed with caramel, biscuit and a buttery sweetness. The orange taste was more pronounced as it faded, and overall it was another tasty brew by Magnify (and Sand City).

This beer was rather surprisingly good. Got it as an extra. Pours yellow orange and rather hazy with some lacing and thin foam layer. Smell is juicy with a subtle biscuity undertone. Taste is sweet up front with notes of grapefruit and peach. It feels pillowy and silky. Even though the nosenis good, the taste takes it to another level. Sweetish and not overpoweringly bitter. Well rounded and superb beer.

Traded for this a while ago and was particularly excited for this particular offering from Magnify, as this was a collaboration with Sand City. All of their beers have impressed me and whatever it is that they're doing, it translated here as this might have been the best beer with the Magnify logo on it that I've had. Smooth and crushable, this went down as easy as could be without being a dank hop bomb full of citrus and unfiltered haze. This easily had the best aspects of both breweries from the get-go!

As usual, there was no date on the can but the pour more than made up for that. Murky, peachy, and cloudy, this was dank without being over the top as the taste was nowhere near as muted as the appearance of this. Plenty of tropical and citrus juice in the nose to go along with some onion sharpness, which gave this a good amount of life and bite. These were all magnified (no pun intended) in the taste as the lupulin powder took these notes to another level. Incredibly smooth on the palate, this had one of the best mouthfeels that I've been able to enjoy in a long time. Some melon rind and fruit sugar came into play as this warmed up as there booze emerged here as well...though it added to the subtle potency and earthy dankness that was the undertone of this wonderful concoction. Light carbonation and a medium mouthfeel allowed the beer to sing and truly go up, up, and away!

This wasn't weak nor strong as between the alcohol, body, and taste, this was in as near-perfect balance as an American Double / Imperial IPA could get. Solid stuff that took both breweries to the next level, this easily ranked among that best offerings that I've had from either. Something like this expanded the range of what an IPA from this neck of the woods could be, and it's a shame that I only had one can here - it's not often that something leaves this kind of an impression on me.

No date on the can bit it pours that beautiful mirky orange juice color with a fluffy white head leaving spotted lacing when consumed! It smells like anfruit smoothie madnwith candied fruits! The taste is straight up fruity hop juice, a big hit of candied mangoes! The feel os soft, velvety, and medium! Overall very good beer and i look forward to more of both breweries collaborations together!
