Notes: For this limited seasonal release we decided to take our Mosaic hop forward flagship IPA and add a great deal of passion fruit puree post fermentation. The resulting beer will provide you with a big juicy mouthfeel accompanied by tropical fruit and a firm hop bitterness in the finish.

My beer guru gave me this one to sample. Outstanding appearance, a hazy dark orange with tall off white head that stayed strong and left exceptional lacing. Aroma was also exceptional, very strong fruit is the first thing you notice, orange, pineapple and even a small touch of pine. You are getting a toffee like malt in the background which is nice but hard to pick out of the strong fruit aroma. Taste follows the smell, but more muted, the tropical fruits blend with the malt very well with just a touch pine hop on the finish that only slightly lingers. Balanced perfectly. Medium mouthfeel and dry finish despite the juice up front. Overall this was outstanding. Surprised to get such a great IPA out of Maryland, made me proud, good job Manor Hill.

On-tap at Meridian Pint.

Manor Hill IPA with passion fruit puree. Mosaic-forward

Appearance: Deep orange leaning toward amber. Hazy. Great head that leaves lacing everywhere.

Aroma: The hops and fruit marriage here is quite nice. Very bright and sweet with a hint of fruit acidity as well. Aroma evokes guava, pineapple, citrus, and berry. Hard to tell what's passion fruit and what's Mosaic. A touch of caramel-like malts play very well with the other components.

Taste: Such a juicy palate. Again, passion fruit with a hop that has passion fruit characteristics was a great idea. Citrus, tropical fruit, berry, and very light resiny character. Bitterness pulls all the fruit character into balance. Malt is present but integrates very well.

Feel: Definite fruit sweetness and acidity but a nice, dry finish. Fruit lingers. Bitterness is balancing but the fruit character is the star.

Overall: Manor Hill is a brewery to watch. The passion fruit here is heavy but not totally dominant. Recommended

Had a 5oz sampler at Frederick Beer Festival at Stillpoint Farm/Milkhouse Brewery. This was an exceptional IPA and one of the best fruity hopped ones I've tasted by any Maryland Brewer. The passionfruit comes through well, and there is even a tingy of spiciness in the finish. Highly recommend to try this if available.

2nd review (from can brewed on 3/24/16 (drinking on 4/18/16). Drinking this in a proper beer review environment (i.e. my home), this IPA is EASILY the best IPA in the state of Maryland I've had and perhaps one of the best IPAs made in the US. It is flawless. Nothing fake or artificial in this one, the fruit tastes like it comes straight from the hops and everything else is dialed in nicely.

Hopefully this stays under the radar so I can get more of this easily before everyone discovers it.
