12 oz can dated 8/26

What the hell is going on with this beer? If they're trying to do a NE style hazy juicebomb, they're failing miserably. It has a thick malt sweetness that overwhelms the rest of the beer. I keep giving these guys a chance, but they miss the mark each time.

On tat at the Manor Hill Tavern the other night.

IMHO, this represents a significant step up from the regular house IPA. It's bigger and juicier, with a nice note of dankness in the nose, along with considerable citrus, tropical fruit and light pine. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, but once again, there was plenty of decent bitterness in the finish to counter the abundance of tropical fruit. As with the regular IPA, the finish was ultimately dry and fairly bitter, and drinkability was excellent (none of the MH IPA's I sampled were the least bit hot or cloying). Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with the beer delivering plenty of flavor.

Pretty impressive effort from the folks at MH. Again, I thought this much better than the regular IPA, which is actually a fairly decent IPA in it's own right.

Very nice golden color and good head. Smell is a fruity citrus. The taste starts out with citrus notes and quickly becomes a more resin, pine citrus . Nice IPA finish. Great beer!

Another nice IPA from Manor Hill. This is not a New England Style juice bomb, more clear and not quite the citrus. Very nice piney bitter but absolutely does not linger at all on the back of the tongue. Much of the great IPA punch without the overwhelming bitter. Very nice job.

Appearance: pours an orange color with a 2" head that lasts a bit.

Smell: light citrus and some dank hop bitterness comes through to the nose.

Taste: caramel, grapefruit, pine, some tropical tones, and an earthy bitterness.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp throughout with some dryness late.

Overall: decent IPA with a nice flavor profile.

Picked this up at Downtown Crown here in Gaithersburg. Poured with a huge offwhite head but it did not last. Color is more amber than golden. Nose is malty and boozy but does feature some west coast style hop notes.

This has heavy notes of dark fruit and spice and seems more like a winter warmer than an IPA, although there are some solid hop highlights in the back end of the taste and finish. If I was guessing, I'd peg the abv at 9+% instead of the actual 7.5. Harsh and biting. Way too aggressive for me. More like a Double IPA or a Strong Ale than a quaffable AIPA.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Looks like canned May 11th 2017. Purchased at the Tavern.

Deep orange and chestnut light brown body color. Makes for a real nice appearance, through a somewhat hazy body color. Head is a good classic off white, reaching an easy three fingers with moderate retention. Slightly soapy clumping of lace, but with a good sheen and cling. Real nice looking beer, getting into some real great looking territory nearly.

Good solid and impressive hop front. Herbal hop notes, and touches of spice quality. Hits a little garden herb variety slightly as well, with sharp pine aromatics that linger. Faint touches of malt sweetness but fairly neutral. Pretty much a very good start so far.

Palate manages to get a bit malt forward than anticipated. Sugary malt caramel front, with syrupy brown sugar tones in the mid palate. A somewhat fruity tone of hop but is heavily weighted down by sweetness and brown sugar like flavors. A bit of a tannic quality to this on the finish as well ever slightly too, kind of a roof palate dryness and aftertaste.

Drinkable IPA but misses out on key hop enjoyment.

Pours a hazy golden color with a tight, white head that leaves little bits of lacing.

Smells of bright, juicy hops.

Tastes of the bright hops layered over a solid malt base. Hops lead off with notes of grapefruit and pine. This gives way to some malt sweetness with notes of caramel and toasted bread. Leans towards the sweet side. Finishes with a bit more caramel sweetness.

Mouthfeel is medium with a light, underwhelming amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is solid iPA but could use a bit more hop bitterness and definitely more carbonation.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has an orange/beige color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of citrus, mango. Taste is citrus, mango, pine, some malts, moderate bitterness, a bit too drinkable for the abv. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a beer worth trying.

Such a juicy aroma and flavored exceptional IPA . Also has some resiny characteristics and as others mentioned it does feel heavier than 7.5%. A touch bitter in finish for balance to give some west coast lineage. Really enjoyed.
