This review is based on the UK brewed beer brewed by Castle Eden brewery so I cannot compare it to its USofA brew. I prefer UK IPA style to the more fruited US equivalents' and found this a surprise. On pouring it produced a golden coloured beer with a reassuring head. It had a familiar IPA smell. The taste was splendid full of hops and with grapefruit undertone. As described this is a session beer - and I m going to order it in from the UK distributor. A really enjoyable alternative beer to my own IPA tastes.

Enjoyed out of the bottle along with slow spit fire roasted pork. This basic IPA had a mellow floral hop smell and taste that paired well with the tangy sauce on the pork. Refreshing after taste to enjoy on a warm fall day

BOD 4/22/15. Pours a slightly dark gold with some flocculation. Outstanding head volume and retention. World class lacing.
Light, but almost outstanding, nose of citrus (orange, grapefruit) and spruce over biscuit.
Light medium body with a texture that has creamy aspects. Above normal carbonation with a touch of effervescence in the middle and a nice finely bubbled prickly finish.
For a session ale, the flavor profile is outstanding. Moderate in intensity and complexity, it is superbly well balanced. It begins with orange that flows to grapefruit and pine. The middle is moderately bitter with a balancing biscuit sweetness that has sweet orange undertones. As the biscuit becomes more pronounced, a subtle slightly spicy spruce is underneath. The finish is clean with a mild lingering bitterness.

Poured into a can glass. Pours orange amber with a small white head. Smells of flowery hops. Tastes of citrus hops and very light grain. Beer is highly carbonated and light bodied. Overall a slightly above average beer.

It's fine. But pretty uninspired or interesting.
