American Amber Ale hopped with Willamette hops (pronounced “Will-Am-it”) the most widely grown hop in America. Giving it a mild, pleasant and mildly spicy aroma.

This was poured into pint glasses. The appearance was a hazy amber/red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. Soft gentle white foamy lacing shows around the sides of the glass. The smell was malty rich (burnt caramel - a little bit). Light bitter grainy / earthy grassy hops came through in a burnt kind of way. The taste was burnt malts with a mild chocolate and coffee. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body. Sessionability seemed somewhat there. The carbonation was kind of under for this one. Lingering intrusive burnt caramels lead to dry aftertaste and finish. Overall, decent amber ale that I might have again preferably with some food.

Appearance is pale mahogany, thin off-white collar, almost no lace.

Smell is sweet caramel, simple.

Taste is sharp, there is sour grassy herbal bite here. Faint caramel lingers behind this off flavor, which is mostly on the nose.

Mouthfeel is slippery, light bodied.

Drinkability isn't too high, that sour wet grass taste I never really got used to, and that is a problem. What's left isn't enough for me to get excited about anyways.

Now called Copper Creek Amber Ale. 12 oz bottle poured into a standard 16oz pint glass. Pours a nice rich amber color with about one finger of slightly off-white head. Smaller amount of lacing on the glass.

Smells like sweet malts, some caramel, pastries, freshly baking bread.

Taste is rich with malts--a very malt forward beer with some balance from the hops. But one of the maltier, sweeter ambers I have had. Toasted and a little nutty. Slight bitterness at the finish. Somewhat of a lingering sweetness in the mouth.

Very smooth mouthfeel. Not overly carbonated. Feels rich and substantial.

Overall, one of the better ambers I have had.

Picked this up in Fairbanks Alaska. Pours a dark clear amber color with a small white head that dissipated pretty quick. Smells very malty and bready. Taste is of sweet caramel malt with a touch of bitterness. Really not that great compared to other Amber's from other Craft Breweries, but worth a try if you're ever up in the Fairbanks area.

Bought a six pack of this near Denali. Called "Copper Creek Amber Ale." Drank one at the Arctic Circle.

Crystal clear amber/red, with a slight white head. Looks macro. Nose is vaguely fruity (cherry?) with mild hops. Gentle spice.

Taste is a mish mash. Slight sweetness, caramel malts. Not great.

Average mouthfeel and drinkability. My least favorite of Silver Gulch's brews.

My father brought this beer back for me after his most recent Alaska trip. This is "America's most northern brewery."

Rich amber in color. Some bubbling and minor prickle. There is little to no head. The nose at first seems as if there is nothing to pull out, but after a little more inspection I believe I am picking up the faintest bit of a nut tone. The attack is clean and fresh. The flavor is smooth and rich with perhaps some caramel or other sweet notes wrapped in with it. The finish is pretty clean and there is a minor aftertaste of the malt.

My pour resulted in a little better than a finger's worth of rocky, medium-tan head with good retention. Nose was very malty with a grainy/cereal-like aspect. Color was a deep reddish-amber with NE-quality clarity. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium with a cereal-like sweetness on the tongue. Finish lingered with that same sweet flavor. The reviewer who likened this to a Marzen was spot-on. It was okay, at best.
