Notes / Commercial Description:
Chupacabra Quinceañera is a refreshing 100% Brett-fermented blonde beer bursting with clean tropical aroma from the unique brett strain used for fermentation. These notes are complemented with the subtle use of Simcoe and Amarillo hops, which add layers of tangerine and passionfruit. It's quite the party.

Split with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear golden hue with a fat two finger head that fades to leave sticky lacing and and light wisps.

S - Aromas of nice light light funky brett, gentle tropical hops, nice tropical brett c. Rather generic fruit.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, nice funky brett, good tropical hops and brett. Quite generic though with a nice faint pineapple taste.

M - Mouthfeel is brightly carbonated, almost too much so.

O - Overall this beer had lots of potential, but, just fell a bit dull.

750ml capped bottle into a Surly teku. Shared with schen9303.

Nose is the definition of Brett. Funky, tropical pineapple, coriander, sweet and foam. Real aromatic too. The flavor is where this beer loses me. The funk is present. Pineapple, rotting wood, cobwebs, peppercorn, foam and coriander. Big spice notes with a subtle hint of pineapple. However, there's a distinct bitterness here that doesn't fit the rest of the flavor profile and it never fully goes away, turning into a bitter tartness right at the end. Body is light, crisp and refreshing with a ton of carbonation. Real drinkable.

As far as a Brett beer goes, this is pretty good. However, the bitterness is hard to get over in the flavor profile. Maybe sit on this one a little? See if that hop bite goes away?

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a light gold topped by a dense three finger white head that retains very well and leaves good lacing
S: Smells of funk, barnyard, tropical fruits and a little bit of band aid. Slight hop bitterness on the nose too
T: Taste is tropical fruits, funk, slight horseblanket, some pineapple, a little hop flavor at times too with a little pine and citrus. Swallow is more funk, with some slight mustyness and lingering tropical fruit
M: Fairly light in body with slightly prickly carbonation and a drying finish
O: This is a very nice beer and an interesting take on the style. Good hop notes and lots of brett influence. It will be interesting to see how this changes over time.

750mL bottle acquired through The Bruery's Society. Bottled 11/18/15. Served in my fancy fluted Hoarders stemware.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with almost three fingers of fluffy white head. That froth never fully settles, leaving a thick veneer of rocky bubbles and large swaths of lace.

Aroyod pineapple, floral funk, melon, mild bready sweetness. I can't quite articulate all that I smell but it is quite nice and I keep finding my nose in the glass enjoying the bouquet.

Flavors seem a bit muted but run the gamut of pineapple, citrus, piney mango, flower petals, funky earthy overripe fruit, faint banana, vague spice and a little dull bread. The Brett funk is probably the single most stand out flavor but everything works well together and this goes down remarkably easily.

Light feel with softly fizzy carbonation. Funky, Brett tinged tropical fruit and a little bread are present in the rather crisp finish.

Another super easy drinking hoppy Brett beer out of The Bruery's prolific Terreux facility. I know it won't happen but this is something I'd love to see in a six pack.

Huge fizzy 2+ finger head, fluffy soapy lacing, slight hazy golden yellow color.

Nose pretty light, mild sweet malt, floral and fruity, little pineapple, faint tropical, candy citrus fruits, mild funk, almost fake fruit.

Taste more the same, light straw malt, more mild tropical fruit, pineapple citrus notes, an almost fake fruit, light tangy funk, generic fruit, little citrus tropical hop profile, little grassy bitterness very little bitter. Finish dry bitter grassy and tropical citrus hop, little tangy flemmy.

Mouth is med bod, little flemmy, decent carb.

Overall ok, expected a lot more topical fruit and citrus and hop profile in general, but not a bad beer.

L - Pours a cloudy hay colored body with a frothy three finger eggshell colored head. Great retention and lacing on this beer.

S - Man... Straight funk & barnyard with tropical notes in the background. Really digging this funk forward beer.

T - Tropical fruits, funk & barnyard, some hopbite and citrus.

F - Light bodied, high carbonation and a dry finish.

O - Super easy drinking funk forward beer.

750ml bottle poured into a tulip appears a clear pale yellow color with big white froth resting atop.

It displays a pleasant aroma of fruity hops meets tropical brett with a slight husky straw graininess.

The taste is fruity with mild tropical flavor and hint of alcohol with what seems like butter and corn in the aftertaste.

This is light in body with modest carbonation. The nose was not bad but the taste was pretty meh.
