We all know the old adage: “when life hands you a lemon, make lemonade.” But what do you do when your friends at Masumoto Family Farms deliver a fresh harvest of juicy nectarines? You stop what you’re doing and join coworkers from all areas of the company at Bruery Terreux to carve up nectarines to make a small batch, limited edition, fruited sour. Nectarines with a sour blonde ale aged in oak: it’s the perfect fit.

1st bottle consumed November 13, 2016. There's been a few since then too.
Pours a color similar to the fruit, orange and yellow, slightly cloudy, 3/5" white head. Very juicy nectarine impression here. Damn the smell gets the mouth literally watering. Seems very clean, no funk notes, just super sour nectarine skin power as opposed to one dimensional juice box-yness.
Taste oh wow, don't fanboy out. But hey, this is some really good stuff, nectarine is pretty similar to apricot, this right away makes me wonder why I don't see more nectarine wild ales. Damn, so much nectarine while retaining standard beer/blonde ale characteristics that keep this in the beer vein, but while still delivering on the fruit. The sourness is very clean, the oak has a good drying effect overall. Perfect carbonation, the acidity and sour level is moderate and non problematic. This is the best Bruery sour beer in a long time, easily my favorite thing since Tart of Darkness. Cellar is full of them two beers.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a light gold topped by a finger and a half of dense white head that fades quickly to a small pool with some light lacing
S: Smells of nectarines and some pleasing sourness
T: Taste is some bright sourness and light funk up front before the nectarines come through in droves. Nectarines and the acidity do a nice dance on the palate to provide a nice balance. Swallow is more sourness, a little funk and nectarines with a little creamy wheat like flavor on the finish.
M: The beer sits at the lighter side of medium with slightly prickly carbonation and a drying finish from the acidity.
O: This beer is exceptional. It's beyond delicious with some great complexity and killer flavors. Easily one of the best fruited sours I have had in a very long time.

Bruery sour so I don't have high hopes. 750ml capped bottle into a Surly teku. Shared with schen9303.
Nectarine is featured prominently in this one. Aromatic. Sweet with a noticeable, bright tartness. Flavor is puckering up front. Notes of hay, oak and foam covered quickly by a huge citrusy tartness. Puckering throughout. But this is lively and light from beginning to end with a sweet cobweb and funk finish. Pretty impressive. Light bodied with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on the palate and goes down bone dry and puckering. The perfect combination of body and carbonation to feature the present flavors.
I've not had the best experiences with Bruery sours but this is quite impressive. One of the rare fruited wild ales from the Bruery worth seeking out.

Happy 4th of July weekend!
I literally searched for 10 minutes looking for something to drink from the bruery solo, lol. All 14%+ers, until I pulled this gem. Was saving it for Monday but at 5.9 it's just perfect for a nice beer by myself.
This guy taste like your biting into an nectarine! Filmishmish is my favorite bruery sour, and this guy might actually top it, like it more than sitr with peaches. This is some of the bruerys best, not overly sour with tons of fruit, I'd put this up with side project fruited beers for sure which I consider the best!
