Notes:
This is a rosé - and a gose - by any other name. Goses are Red is a stylish match of a funky, crisp and tart gose with the soft sweetness of a rosé wine. The refreshing wheat-based beer begins with some of the qualities you’d expect from a gose, including coriander spicing and a light saltiness to complement the tartness imparted by our house cultures. But the story doesn’t end there - it builds in complexity, thanks to time spent in an oak foeder and the addition of grapes, which impart a refreshing rosé character and color. It’s a charming interpretation that says all the right things, but it’s not as sweet as you.

Pours a light, caramel brown color with a thin, half finger beige head.
Aroma of sweet, fruity wine, sour cherry bubblegum, lemon meringue, sea salt/ocean brine and key lime.
Flavor is incredible. Ever so slightly salty and briney, almost like how fresh ocean air on the beach would taste. There are gentle sweet/sour undertones of pomegranate, raisin, blackberry, cherry, blueberry and even fig wine. The transition to the finish is flawless. The ale ends seamlessly on a very elegant, subtle aftertaste of savory, bready gourmet fresh baked salted sourdough pretzels, and toffee like caramel malt that beautifully complements the aforementioned flavors.
Feel is bubbly and tart, but with a good weight and body to it. Medium texture. Thirst quenching to a degree - but the salt leaves you slightly parched.
This is wonderful stuff, certainly a must try if you enjoy sour ales.

A: The beer is hazy pinkish red in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly faded away, leaving a small patch of bubbles on the center (continually replenished by a column of rising bubbles) and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of Syrah grapes are present in the nose.
T: The taste has sour flavors of Syrah grapes along with hints of saltiness and spices.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied and very tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be very enjoyable, particularly in its use of the Syrah grapes as they didn't overwhelm this beer so it still smelled and tasted like a fruited nose.

Picked this out of a cellar sale last year for $5 or something. 750ML bottle dated 4/5/17. I have pubic hairs older than that. Split with my wife.
The pour is a light copper with almost no head but a center of roiling bubbles shooting to the surface. Nose delivers salt, tartness, wheat, lemon. Not bad.
Goses are Red is, despite the additions, a fairly classic gose. Lovely tipple of salt on the tongue is followed by grainy wheat, grapes, lemon juice, & an acidic tartness that stops short of sour. Light, airy, but the acidity builds throughout the experience, making this one & done. I’d end up with canker sores & a tummy ache trying to take this big bottle solo.
Nice beer & break from the IPAs & stouts we’ve been guzzling. Good. Solid.

Decent head production, but quickly fades to stillness. Body is a slightly hazy, garnet-and-caramel hue.
Very light nose, slightly floral, and giving up very few of its secrets. Mild tartness, tannins, and oak.
Mildly sour on the palate, certainly not over the top. Grape skins, tannins, tea, rosewater, wheat, cherry, ruby red grapefruit.
Sticky with a mild lasting pucker.

Pours a mostly clear red color with a finger width carbonated head that quickly dissipates. There is virtually no head retention or lacing. Has an almost sour Rose aroma. Nice tart taste with grapes and some sourness at the end. Light bodied with heavy carbonation.

Light to ruby red in color with no head and excellent clarity. The aroma is of pale wheat, salt, coriander, and green grapes. I'm tasting green grapes, pale wheat, and salt. This is nowhere near as salty or tart as many other examples. The mouth is moderately carbonated, crisp, and refreshing.
