Appearance: Straw-yellow color with a fairly generous sized white head that subsides to a thin white cap. Nothing to change here.

Smell: Moderate barnyard funk with some citrus aromas, and grassy hay notes.

Taste: Grapefruit/lemon notes, hay notes, and mild barnyard funk notes come through in the taste. The beer finishes dry with a hint of lemon on the tail end.

Mouth-feel: Light to medium bodied with a fairly generous level of carbonation. A satisfying mouthful.

Overall: A nice American take on a gueuze. This was a nice collaboration that worked out well to produce a nice beer.

750ml poured into Teku. Looks exactly like a Gueuze should: lemon and straw in color, small head with persistent thin white head Lemon, crisp apple, and some white pepper on the nose. Excellent balance of lemon acidity and a savory, slightly bitter note- it really nails that savory note that is missing from Wild Ales that are punishingly sour. Lively carbonation is perfect foil to the slightly tannic feel.

If you liked Rueuze, this is a similar but upgraded version of that modern classic. I was concerned the "7 breweries" aspect sounded gimmicky, but as usual Terreux comes through with a knockout. As a straight Gueuze this is worthy of not just sitting at the grown up table, but going head to head with the finest of the Pajottenland. Appears to be a prime canidate for aging as well. Old World style sour, done right.
