750ml bottle into a tulip. No idea as to the age on this one.
Looks nice in the glass. Crystal clear pale golden yellow body. Decent carbonation, but no head retention. One of the brightest looking beers I've seen
Tart green apple aroma.
On tasting, it's tart, dry, puckering, green apple. Definitely a sipper, despite the low abv.
Mouth medium, finish very tart and dry.
Overall, Interesting beer to try. Most other berliners I've had, have lotta fruit additives. This, despite the apple prescence, is very clean.

Very thin, almost like a sour water than a beer. It was refreshing on a hot summer day but nothing too special. This was a 3 year old bottle and despite the low abv the bottle said ages well so the 3 year age shouldn't be a huge factor. I did on the other hand pick up flavors of lemon, lemon grass, tangerine, and mango.

750 ml bottle dated 05/12/16. Pours slightly hazy gold with a big coarse white head that disappears right away. Aroma is lemon, grass, funk. Taste is tart lemon, brett funk, a little wood. Strong carbonation makes for a lively mouth feel. Nice hot weather beer.

Sparkling yellow-gold with a loud fizzy head that immediately dies to nothing.
Smell has bready wheat with pear, apple, and sparkling white wine.
Zippy and effervescent, flavors of tart green and yellow apple are joined by lightly funky hay, faint wheat, white grape and bitter grass that come as fast as they go in this exceedingly, disappearingly airy brew.
The light body finishes tingly and semi-wet.

No head retention at all. Champagne like carbonation. Not very sour, drinkable but seems lacking in areas. A nice summer berliner but it seems subdued. Just a hink of funk

Poured into a wine glass. 2016 bottle that I picked up from my local liquor store in December 2017, $6.99.
Appearance - poured about a finger of eggshell white head that dissipated immediately. It was literally gone within seconds, and that was that. Absolutely no lacing, but there's a nice stream of effervescent loveliness. Golden straw color with light shades of orange, and a slightly cloudy but fairly translucent body.
Smell - lemon citrus, pear, and funk. I don't like the "barnyard" descriptor, but yeah, that's what a lot of people would call it. Kind of like a musty wheat, but in the best way. Light shades of vinegar.
Taste - lemon and pear again, which is pretty straight forward. Lightly tart lactic acid, which is pretty tame for Bruery Terreux, but exactly what you'd want/expect from a berliner style. Light funk.
Mouth feel - extremely light bodied with a semi dry finish. The carbonation is on point and meshes perfectly with the acidity.
Overall - what can you say? It's low abv and not particularly complex. It's not as tart as most of Bruery's other sours. If you want a sour bomb, you should probably keep looking. But honestly, you shouldn't be expecting that from a berliner anyway. This is excessively drinkable and refreshing, the perfect beer to session on a hot summer day. Phenomenal price point at that. Maybe a prototypical berliner.
