Had out of curiosity, and it was interesting. Tasted like those kool-aid knockoff sugary juices that came in the tall plastic bottles, very sugary black currant, grape and plum, also very thin. Smell is sugary too, but sustains for whole sniff. Pro-tip, leave the bottom behind, has some heavy floaties down there. Pretty ruby red and violet body with pinkish white foam. The wife liked it much more than I did

Pours hazy, dark gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is big black currant, dark grape, and light sour mix. Light bodied, medium high carbonation and slightly sour. Makes for a solid sour. I prefer some of Lulus other sour beers but well worth a try.

Blackcurrant Sour Saison.

A first for me to have a craft offering from Poland.

Appearance - Pours a deep blush with three fingers of foamy blush head that leaves some lace on the glass.

Smell - spicy earthy and leafy hops, blackcurrants, blackcurrant syrup, biscuity malts, and spicy earthy, leafy, and floral belgian yeast.

Taste - spicy earthy and leafy hops upfront followed quickly into the bold blackcurrant, and blackcurrant syrup. The biscuity malts and spicy earthy, leafy, and floral yeast round out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes sticky and tart with the hops and blackcurrant lingering.

Overall - For my first Polish craft beer offering ever, this one pays homage to the blackcurrant. I remember as a Polish-Canadian kid growing up eating blackcurrants and having the blackcurrant syrup from the Polish stores. A unique saison that is not too sour or too cloying. Worth a try!

Pours a cloudy amber color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and slight lacing . Smells of strong currant, hint of pale malt, hint of earthiness, and a hint of caramel malt. Fits the style of a Fruit and Field Beer. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is a noticeable dryness. Tastes of strong currant, hint of pale malt, hint of earthiness, and a hint of caramel malt. Overall, weak appearance, not well blended, and not sour or acerbic.
