This beer was aged for a year in a Rum barrel. Tons of Rum flavor and notes of molasses, brown sugar, toffee, and raisins.

Lot of rum and barrel but thin mouthfeel and really nothing else much but rum and booze. Lacks layers and complexity. Kind of a chore to drink, but not bad overall. Packs a punch for 8%

750 ml bottle, batch date 8/8/15, poured into a tulip
A- Deep clear brown, almost black, with a two finger off white head
S- Rum, oak, toffee, some caramel, toasted malts, mild vanilla, smells boozy for 8% ABV.
T- Rum, oaky, earthy, toffee, vanilla, caramel, toasted malts, well balanced.
M- Smooth, medium body.
O- A great rum barrel aged beer, complex and nicely balanced. Excited to see how this ages.
