Brewed with Mosaic, Cascade, & Simcoe hops, wheat, and oats. Creating a fresh, tasty New England style Double IPA. Big notes of peach, plum, and citrus.

Really nice mellow Hazy IPA. You know you like it hazy if you're reading this.

Taste: Almost like a very very light caramel/malty finish taste towards the end. This doesn't have the kick of a double IPA at all. Very easy on the carbonation and smooth to drink. That 8% ABV is really buried in there making this a beer with day-drinkability that'll leave you napping in 2 hours. You can taste the juice without it feeling too juicy. Honestly, a good beer to introduce your mom to IPA with only having her wince a little at the end.

Very solid. Can't wait to find it on draft.

Purchased at Acme, Horsham, PA. $17.99-4pk/16oz cans.

Pours a hazy, pale orange color. An aggressive, two-finger whiteish dense head on the initial pour that gradually fades but never goes away. Sticky lacing on the sides of the glass as I drink the brew.

Aromas of tropical fruits like pineapple and mango with peach, lemon and orange. Smells very good.

An excellent DIPA. The taste follows the aromas with sweet fruits and hops. Very smooth and easy drinking even at 8% ABV. Slight but not an intense bitter aftertaste.

Medium to heavier consistency, low carbonation. Very smooth and creamy.

Overall, an excellent DIPA. I believe this is my first brew from 2SP and it’s a nice addition to the DIPA field. I’d like to try some other offerings based on the quality of this beer. Cheers!

Notes via stream of consciousness: The interesting thing about New England style IPAs is how many variations of them there are these days. This is a double IPA, but will it be the sweet and fruity kind, the juicy citrus-bomb type, or the more bitter, "dank" and piney/herbal type? Let's see... it's poured a cloudy golden body with a light orange sheen beneath a finger's width of white foam. There's a lot of visible particulate in suspension, and even some bigger chunks. It smells like Mosiac hops to me with a distinct sweet berry-like note and some peach. I could be wrong but I don't know of any other hop that can produce that berry-like note, particularly when it comes off as blueberry. So what else is there? The malt is sweet and wheaty, and its a bit floral and citrusy. On to the taste then, fingers crossed, if it's as good as it smells they've got a winner on their hands! Well, I was right, but at the same time I was wrong. It's not normally the case but the flavor is different from the aroma. I'm getting a big note of sweet plum rather than the expected berry. I'm not disappointed though, and in fact quite the opposite, I'm really intrigued by it. The malt seems to be the usual 2-row, wheat, and oats grain bill although it's possible there's some honey malt or something else in there. It's hard to tell because it is a big beer with a big sweet and breadly maltiness. How strong is this? It's 8% which makes sense. The alcohol has a clear presence but I expect that in a beer of this size, and it helps to balance the sweetness of the malt. There's also some bitterness, under the surface but doing its thing, and it's nicely balanced for the style. Along with that plum I'm also getting a lot of apricot, soft citrus (mainly orange and grapefruit), and some "dank" resins and delicate pine. Wow, what a beautiful sipper this is. It starts with sweet malt and fruit, carries on with the fruit across the middle, adds in some resins/pine/herbs, and then steadily dries in the finish with notes of hop resins, pine, herbs, and spicy alcohol lingering along with the bitterness that's there. In the mouth it's full bodied and smooth across the palate with just a gentle caress of carbonation and a light flicker of alcohol. This is one of the best NEIIPAs I've ever tasted.

Picked this up recently at Joe Canal's in Woodbridge as I never had anything from 2SP before. Love the label and the beer inside wasn't that bad either as this was a nice example of a New England IPA that was full, flavorful, and easy to drink from the get-go!

This has nice, deep and hazy golden hue to it as it was topped off with plenty of head with lots of bumpy bubbles rising to the surface. A few deep, but faint, rings of lacing remained along the top half of my pint glass as some soapy splotches lingered near the bottom. Quite a dank aroma of peach and plum in the nose as there was a heavy, herbal, and hoppy taste to this that had enough staying power to it! Orange rind, fullness of oats, and stickiness on my palate and lips rounded out this colorful and filling brew that had hints of wheat, deep forest, and a strong amount of underlying tropical fruit. Not a lot of carbonation here as the heavy-handed nature of this beer never let up during my time with it.

There wasn't a ton of booze here but this felt every bit as strong as it's listed 8.0% ABV. The hops worked well together as this could have been an Imperial IPA as much as a New England IPA! Indeed, I warmed up a bit while drinking this but I'd easily reach for another since this was just that tasty. Just a bit of sediment settled to the bottom as this held up well for being dated 1/8 on the bottom of the can. I loved this first impression from 2SP and you probably will too! Go find a fresh can of this and enjoy it for all that it's worth...

16 ounce can poured into a tulip glass. Canned on 5/18/21, so not ideal.

L---Opaque with haziness. Gold color with an orange tint. Big off white head had good retention and left very nice lacing. Some yeasty sediment settled to the bottom of the glass.

S---Tropical & citrus fruits.

T---Follows the nose. Orange, passionfruit.

F---Medium body with good carbonation.

O---Shame it wasn't fresh, it seemed pretty good.

Tropical, grassy and even piney with some candied fruit, the aroma is certainly exciting. Some pungent notes as well that add something extra to this. Taste is a blend of all aromas, and while not as harmonious, still very good. Feel is light-medium carbonated. Overall, a great DNEIPA.
