Crucial Crucial Taunt Taunt is the double dry-hopped version of our beloved flagship Double IPA Crucial Taunt. Clocking in at 8%(as usual) this is hands down the most aromatic double IPA we have ever produced. Almost 7.5lbs per BBL of hops, this monster has a never ending flavor profile. This is down right insane!

I'm a big fan of Veil and this beer is one of the reasons why. Just so well done, balanced and full of flavor. You do not taste the 8% at all. Drink very easy. I just wish cans weren't so hard to get especially here in NJ.

A fairly ugly amber orange body at least has a splay head that doesn’t disappear. Nose has sweeter tropical fruits over top an orange slushee. Taste carries the sweet impression into the opening. Citrus breaks this up in the middle, with the peels thrown in after to bring some bitterness.

16oz can. Date stamp on can bottom is '02/06/23'.
Hazy, pale gold colored body. One finger of soapy white head, which results in an interrupted cap. Leaves behind thin webs of lacing.
Aroma of orange, tangerine, mango, and dank armpit.
Taste is orange, peach, and mango, which is overwashed with dank pine and herb. Gets thin in the aftertaste.
Soft, thicker mouth feel. Quite dry finish. Tongue sting when beer is held in the mouth. Good carbonation.
Lots of hop presence to chew on. Sweet and dank.

Appearance: On draft at a restaurant in Virginia. 1.5cm thin bright white foam receded quickly but clung to the glass. Beer is dirty gold in color, like an Arnold Palmer.
Aroma: Mild citrus. Unpleasant dirty dish rag dank odor which was not due to the glass.
Taste: A ton of hop bitterness. Heavy in pine and resin. Some orange and grapefruit rind. The alcohol is there but it’s not bothersome.
Feel: Medium-high carbonation, crisp and clean. Edges toward the thick side. Great balance.
Overall: Not sure what the deal with the odor was, everything else about this beer was just fine and as expected given the style. Extra points for the name (party on!).
Pairing: Very difficult to offset the hoppy bitterness with food. This one goes best by itself.

16 oz can, collab with Trillium and Freaky Friday, canned 12/3/20, into Ellipsis Trophy glass.
From Evan. Thanks buddy.
Super milk and honey appearance, with a creamy cap of 2 fingers, receding to 1. Lots of lace up the sides.
Aroma is UNREAL. From the can it's wet and green, tons of juicy hop log, orange, mango, and sweet passion fruit. From the glass, it's mango, juicy peach, orange cream milkshake, dry macaroni, and a little papaya. No heat/diesel in the aroma.
Flavor is like a hoppy peach milkshake (but just a touch washed out). How do they do it? It's incredible. Fuzzy white peach, apricot, nectarine, hard non-ripe pineapple, a little bit of red apple, orange peel, and some mango.
Feel is creamy like a milkshake, with lovely resinousness within, only mild to moderate alcohol heat, with resin and acidity on the finish.
Overall, an incredible IIPA that I'm happy I have two more of. Definitely recommend this one.

Poured from a 16oz can into a spieglau glass
Look: Straight peach juice with a thick white head.
Smell: Rotten papaya, mango, passionfruit and bruised pineapple. All hops.
Taste: Massive. And explosion of bitter green mango, grapefruit rind, papaya, passionfruit, and pineapple core. Has a long hop bitterness.
Feel: Thick in the palate. Coats the whole mouth with hoppy goodness. High bitterness.
Overall: An insane beer. Well worth picking up.

Crucial Crucial Taunt Taunt, an 8% DDH DIPA from The Veil. Gorgeous tiger orange in the glass with shades of pumpkin flesh. Aromas of orange Starburst, citrus peel, and pineapple candy. Nuanced earthy tones on the back end. Taste follows with orange slices, clementine, and mandarin. Nicely carbonated, and tongue-scraping in the best way. This is a winner.
