Very Good
Notes: Tripple IPA collaboration with our west coast friends @monkishbrewing. We decided to do a triple IPA with all Southern Hemisphere hops(Wai-iti, Nelson, Motueka, and Galaxy). We also added a bunch of raspberry purée. Clocking in at 11%, it's a beast! It tastes like adult Hawaiian Punch, Grapefruit juice, and a touch of pineapple juice. This one is wild! Bendy straws included upon request(courtesy of Monkish).

Can dated 9/20/16

Smell: Raspberry pure pineapple grapefruit some floral dankness.

Taste: upfront super syrupy raspberry puré and a really noticeable malt presence. middle of the mouth this beer turns really green super grassy and piney with hints of pineapple in the finish you get more of that dank floral grassy note and a noticeable grapefruit peel biterness.

Feel: full body thick and syrupy dry in the finish.not the easiest drinking beer. The grassy taste really lingers in the finish.

Overall: This beer is way to green just a ton of grass it makes the beer kind of unpleasant. Raspberry shows up when the beer first hits the taste buds but quickly disappears. This beer is two months old so that might be why it's like this but I'm not sure I'm gonna ever drink this beer again.

Poured from a 16oz can into a teku glass, can dated 9/20

Appearance: deep, dark pink in color, with a very hazy body. Lots of thick, white foam on top, which lingers for a long, long time, and leaves plenty of lacing. Pretty looking IPA, and very unique in color.

Aroma: some booziness and a little sweetness here, but the raspberry is very present. Soft and fruity, along with a touch of tartness, though not puckering at all.

Taste: adult Hawaiian Punch indeed. Drinks a little boozy for sure, but that's somewhat expected in a triple IPA, which has never been my favorite style. Pretty soft and subtle fruit flavors though, and overall its pretty solid. Raspberry is present, along with some white grape and maybe some orange.

Feel: thick and full-bodied, with a little touch of heat. Doesn't feel like 11% heavy, but you can definitely tell this is a heavy beer.

Overall: a unique, interesting beer. Certainly not an every day drinker, but a nice beer to try.

Appearance: Murky as all get out, the amber color is accented by raspberry juice tones; the cap layers two inches of foam and leaves a smattering of lace

Smell: Quite the aroma, with raspberry tones layering on the tropical fruit and white wine grape elements

Taste: Raspberry forward, with passion fruit, papaya, lime, and white wine grape tones developing; citric bitterness develops, after the swallow, with a dry finish

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Big step for IPA creativity here and well worth seeking out for those who are looking for something different

Pours a murky.. what color is that? Orange/brown with white head. Not the prettiest beer ever that's for sure, but that's where the bad details come to an end. Aroma of mango, passionfruit, raspberry, lime, starfruit, peach.. its literally like Hawaiian punch. Flavor follows.. raspberry at the front followed by an assault of tropical fruit. 11% ABV comes through more like 7.5-8%. A touch of citric acid on the finish gives the illusion of dryness. This beer is outrageous! I didn't really think raspberry in a TIPA would work, but I was totally wrong. The feel is medium with low-med carbonation. Their description of "adult Hawaiian punch" is about as perfect as it gets. Overall, if you can get your hands on it, you'd be stupid not to. One seriously awesome and unique beer!
