This one pours a very dark black, sticks to the glass, with a small head and not much lacing.
When this warms up a bit, this becomes a delightful coconut bomb, with tons of sweet chocolate syrup, and a hint of roast.
This is much better than the other Horns variants I've had (Cinnastru and French Vanilla), as the coconut seems well integrated into the stout, and doesn't absolutely ruin the body into an oil slick nightmare. This is pure pastry stout, with gobs of sweet candied coconut, and the huge fudgy character of the base stout. It's definitely sweet, but there's streaks of roasty bitterness across the palate that keep it from being truly cloying.
This is surprisingly drinkable, with a lower and soft level of carbonation, and thick/syrupy body.
This is a really nice accomplishment. Veil does stouts and sours way, way better than they do IPAs, IMHO.

Pours entirely black with a foamy, dark brown head, which dissipates immediately.
Smells of sweet and flowery coconut oil, together with complimenting bakers chocolate and a hint of licorice. Has a lingering toffee presence, which goes very well with the coconut, pointing this into a sweeter direction.
Has a lower carbonation, not flat yet, with a not overly pronounced sweetness, making this, as for its lighter body, almost easy drinkable.
Coconut hits you from the very beginning, mellow, with a floral hint to it, coated up by toffee and milk chocolate. Although there is no sign of roast or bitterness to be detected, this remains enjoyable on the palate, due to its smooth, almost silk mouthfeel. The coconut does have a candy bar taste to it though, lots of sugar, which comes along a little artificial, since the chocolate flavors arent able to balance it out entirely. Finishes almost watery, since the coconut receeded very quickly and doesn't leave much behind it, with the exeption of semi spicy licorice.
Not a big fan, since this is a little too one dimensional, relying on an adjunct, which doesn't really deliver.

Poured at the Brussels Beer Fest in August, 2017. Pours jet black with nice dark brown head. Smell is roasty, tobacco, chocolate, maybe mint chocolate, coconut and marshmallow. Very creamy. Taste is incredible. Marshmallow, coconut, truffle, vanilla, and caramel. Truly amazing blend of flavors. Mouthfeel is creamy as anything I have tried. Overall, an amazing beer.

4.05/5: A successful dessert stout with lots of nuanced coconut; am I warming up to coconut in a beer???

L: Thick and black. The head is rapid and short-lived (like a soft drink), overwhelmed by the oil slick (coconut oil?) that sits at the top for the remainder. It's an ugly one.
S: Unsurprisingly, coconut. Some chocolate.
T: Yes, it *does* taste like a Mounds bar.
F: I should say 'viscous'. I'll go with 'sick-making'.
O: A few sips is good; the entire pint can was laborious. Points given to The Veil for accomplishing what they (evidently) set out to do. Points taken away for not setting out to do something else.
