Notes / Commercial Description:
Whiteferrari is a beer that has been a long time in the making. We've been experimenting with different malt and hop combinations through other recipes, trying to find what we believe is the best of both worlds rolled into one DIPA. Clocking in at 8%, this luxuriously soft DIPA is hopped intensely with 50/50 Citra and Galaxy(and a ton of it!). We used the freshest crop available of each hop to give this DIPA the most expressive hop character possible. We truly believe this is one of, if not the best hoppy beer we've released(and we hope you agree!).

Super hazy, NE IPA appearance. Enticing. Lovely aromas of tropical fruit and dank hops. Guava, pineapple, mango. Resinous and juicy. Yes, I know this could describe just about any Tree House or Trillium IPA, but that’s all I have. Time to drink and enjoy.

A:
Pours the color of peach yogurt with a finger of short-lived white head. Little retention; no lacing. (3.75)

S:
Dank citrus oils, stonefruit, pot. (4)

T:
Peach, pear, orange peel, bitter herbal finish. (4.25)

M:
Fluffy body with moderate carbonation and a fairly dry finish, apparent alcohol. (4)

O:
A nice, big ol' beer.
It pours about par for the course, but not as pretty as some. The aroma is primarily fruity. This is the first beer I've ever had where I can kind of smell what some might describe as a cat piss, but it doesn't overpower. The flavor is more in realm of medicinal/herbal but is still fruity and sweet first and foremost. To me it loses a little drinkability due to the alcohol but is otherwise a very good beer. (4.25)

Canned 04/20/18

Appearance - Cloudy pour, pale yellow with a white, pillowy finger width head. Fair retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of suds. some broken lines and small spotting make up the lace.

Smell - White grapefruit, tangerine skin and light spice. Clean, direct and welcoming nose.

Taste - Follows the nose. Juicy white grapefruit with lesser tangerine, the latter adding mostly its bittersweet, outer fleshy character. Fair spice bite with faint pine following behind. Brief note of caramel malt. Some peachy sweetness. Finish is clean and balanced, leaving behind only a trace of sweet fruitiness and spice in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair, bitey carbonation. Slick, silky texture with a crisp, and mostly dry finish.

Overall - Aptly named; this is clean, smooth and a beauty to drink. Well done, The Veil.

Wine glass at brewery.

An orange cloud fills the glass, with a thinner white cloud floating above.

Muted nose; soft orange peel, citrus oil.

Towering melon, sweet grapefruit, pear, white grape juice, and oh the meaty navel orange! This ride is a juice bomb.

Soft, cuddly beer. The body is smooth, the carbonation silky and caressing.

This IPA takes me on a roller coaster ride. I guess I don’t see a lot of NE IPAs in the western half of the US, at least not ones like this. The look is super hazy with a lazy head, the aroma is so average as to be meh, but the flavor is a juice box carbonated with silk.

06.11.2018 - Can version. Just as the tap version from 2017, it's a great NE DIPA with a bright grassy hop profile and great drinkability.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, green session. Milky, bright yellow color with off-white head. Aroma has dank notes, chives and hop matter. Tastes like a juicy hop milkshake with a light bitterness and really smooth mouthfeel.

Sixteen ounce can poured into a tulip glass. December 13 canned on date. This was four days old. Hazy look, smell is unbelievable. Taste is out of this world.

Pours a hazy orange with fine, soft head.

Smell is sweet and juicy with notes of peaches, mango and sweetened cream.

Taste is almost dessert like, with sweet vanilla/cream upfront and a pile of citrus and peaches behind. Soft bitterness and nice hop bite, well balanced.

Mouthfeel is typical The Veil, soft and pillowy, and well carbonated.

Overall, another very nice DIPA by The Veil.
