On tap at the brewery, it pours cloudy orange color with a foamy off white head that faded slowly and left good spotty lacing. Smells dank like a fresh bud dipped into orange juice with some pineapples tossed in. Tastes so juicy and fresh, like tangerine, pineapple, orange juice, melon, grapefruit, graham cracker, mango, tea leaf and floral notes. It’s super hoppy with a medium bitterness while completely hiding the ABV.

For the style a nice looking shade of orange juice. Great juicy aroma and a smooth but not coating or chalky mouthfeel. What impressed was the taste. This NE IPA has the right amount of ABV, bitterness and bite to balance the cloudy maltiness that gives it all its other wonderful attributes. Note that the ABV is very well hidden. This beer goes down quickly.

From a 16oz can, dated 10/01/18. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.
Pours like a glass of juice, a heavily hazed dull apricot colour with two-plus fingers of pouffy ivory fluff. Retention is pretty good, leaving sparsely scattered clumps of lacing.
Faint-to-moderate nose of citrusy tropical fruit basket, honey and yeasty bread roll.
Taste is sweet, composty and boozy with a little bit of most everything fruity - orange, apricot, pineapple, grapefruit, lime... all run through the juicer and briefly fermented. Doughy and bready, earthy and dank. Finishes with just a little sour bitterness, grapefruit juice and potato vodka.
Feel is juicy and smooth, a bit sugary, medium-hefty bodied with decent carbonation.
Overall, a big-ass beer with big-ass flavour. Drinks like a big DIPA, yes, but doesn't quite feel like 11%. Reminiscent of a fruity cocktail that you might want to serve with a maraschino cherry for brunch.

Appearance: Arrives cloudy with a pale orange cast topped by two fingers of foam; good lacing action
Smell: Dank with juicy orange and honey tones
Taste: Dank, from the outset, with juicy orange notes building; the honeyed character detected in the aroma adds some sweetness to the juice, producing a citrus candy aspect; little bitterness (0 IBUs) leads to the juicy finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I was concerned by the potential for a cloying beer here as some of the Veil's high ABV IPAs have not been my cup of tea but this beer was extraordinary
