Style: Fruit and Field Beer
Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.50%
Availability: Rotating
Notes / Commercial Description:
Tastees are kettle sour ales clocking in at 5.5%. We add a ton of lactose to these and brew them intentionally to be fuller bodied to try and replicate a fruit smoothie. We then select two different fruits and bomb them out in secondary fermentation at just shy of double fruited goses levels of fruit. For the third fruit blend in this series, we decided to use Blackberry and Blueberry. This turned out insane. This one is literally like an adult fruit smoothie LOL. Tastes like grandma’s blueberry pie filling with some acidity to it. The thickest Tastee yet!

This was extremely difficult to pour. It foamed out completely after opening, and we had to pour it into a pitcher to settle down. The end of the pour had solid chunks of fruity slush.
Once actually poured into the glass, this is a dark purplish color, completely opaque, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like blueberry yogurt, with some blackberry and ice cream.
This is absurd, and should barely be called beer. It's enjoyable, but honestly- why does it exist? I guess because it's enjoyable. It tastes like a melted berry yogurt smoothie. The only tartness is what comes along with the actual fruit- I don't taste an actual beer underneath all of this. It's absurdly creamy, with lots of vanilla and lactose. My mouth is just so confused by all of this.
This is really creamy, with a lower level of carbonation (probably because of how we had to serve it). It's very drinkable.
This was very interesting, but I definitely don't need to try it again.

On draft. Served in a wine glass. Pours a medium darker reddish purple body, one finger white head, thick and effervescent, good retention and a bit of lacing. Smell is essentially brambleberry ice cream. That's really all there is to it. There is lactose, touch of wheat and mineral, sweet blackberry and raspberry or mulberry tartness; I know the other fruit is blueberry, but that's the best way for me to describe it. The lactose gives the backend a nice creaminess that makes me think of ice cream. Really nice. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied and appropriate with good carbonation and a creamy lactose and berry finish.
