Black on black can....November '19 canning date....was told it was "pretty hot when first released and is drinking better now."

Solid looking NEIPA

Bold fruited up nose with oranges over flowing.

Big, juicy, heady and satisfying brew. Loads of oranges, limes, mangos....big and broad shouldered malty notes, smoothing the entry of the tropical and the alcohol punch...love it...world class night capper

Thanks Drew!
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a beautiful hazy orange juicy bright color with a small white foamy head quickly sliding off. No lace.
The aroma had an exceptional blend of juicy orange pulp to a stellar juicy grapefruit then an underscore of sweet melon then a very clean malt.
The flavor copied the aroma pretty spot on - sweet with a brisk hop spice then mellow bitterness. There's barely any aftertaste in this. Not sure how to take that, leaves me a bit perplexed. Maybe as touch of hop spice and a slight juicy bitterness, but like I said, there is barely any aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. ABV might be high but it does seem on par and doesn't distract from the rest of the feel. Carbonation felt nice and low as expected. Smooth finish of juicy sweet orange and grapefruit.
Overall, damn! Damn, damn and damn! For the longest time, I always thought Vermont, Michigan and California were the best beer states in the nation, not that they still aren't but I can see a lot of "eyes" turning more towards the state of Virginia.
