Visited with my wife after lunch. Had a couple beers, bought a couple beers.

Staff was friendly, though didn't engage much. Beer was good, but not great. More beers available than the average in Vienna, of more interesting styles than the average. If you take the bottles into account, it was a pretty good selection (not that it was a a huge bottle inventory, just that it was varied and well above the norm for Vienna). We didn't eat anything. It reminded me quite a bit of a lot of American craft beer places, though with maybe a bit more focus on the garden area. I wouldn't say it's a destination, but it's definitely a worthwhile stop.

I visited Beaver Brewing's 1090 location (they also have a new separate brewpub in town, the "1050" location) a couple days ago while exploring Vienna. On my visit they had 9 taps of theirs, plus they can make a black and tan for you, which I saw at another Vienna brewery as well. Interesting! They offered an IPA, porter, lager, sour, ESB, kölsch ... a decent selection of styles, overall I got a taster flight; the APA, kölsch and ESB were quite good, the porter nice, and the hazy IPA was the weakest link in my opinion. They will also turn their helles into a radler, which I got, and it was supremely refreshing.

The taproom itself has got a cool pubby feel with brick walls and exposed ductwork. It's got a little bit of an old world look, but this is a brewery taproom that would not be out of place at all in the US, with a modern, but also industrial look (some brewing equipment is visible in the taproom). The service was excellent: quick and friendly, and my lack of German was no barrier, as all the staff I encountered spoke excellent English. I would definitely return to Beaver, if I find myself in Vienna again.

They have a kitchen with some food that looked pretty darn good, but we just had some edamame as a snack (TBH, more breweries should have edamame).

Decent bar, seemed popular with college kids. I’ll start with service: fantastic dialog with the bartender who helped us pick out beers. I give this place credit for trying a variety of styles but none really stood out for what they are. I’d certainly try again
