Appearance: Pale gold, yellow; good head

Aroma: Cornflour; lemony

Taste: Juicy malt; light hops; tart citrus and hoppy finish

Remarks: I added this one to differentiate between the Austrian and the Berkeley labels.

Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

Consumed this one on a humid, cloudy day in Vienna at a cafe in the old city back in late July. Poured clear with a deep gold color and good carbonation. Smells sweet, cracker malts, clean water. Nice taste, good sweetness on the tongue never overwhelms, decent breadiness, a touch bitter and dry on the back end. Feels light and easy to drink. Overall a nice pilsener that I would drink again, not my #1, though.

11-24-16 - Thanksgiving night in Hallstedd, Austria. No turkey on the menu, but that was OK. This was the local and was spot on. Complemented my Hallsted Trout Soup and local Austrian Ox prime rib. So so good. Can't wait for my next time back.

A nice golden color with a white head. The head dissipated rapidly. I could smell fresh cut grass. I could taste a hop bitterness with what seemed like a little citrus. A very clean taste. There's no aftertaste or cloying sweetness. Very dry. Easy to drink.

Format: a standard 330mL green bottle with a pretty decent macro label.

Appearance: a clear light amber colour with light visible carbonation. A finger of white head that drops to a thin film.

Aroma: a fairly light aroma of some decent grains with light grass hops. Okay.

Taste: some bread malts with the grass hops and clean grains. Okay, but not amazing.

Aftertaste: some sweetness from the grains coming through with the light hop bitterness.

Mouth feel: a light - and a little bit thin - body with a moderate carbonation.

Overall: this is pretty much just a lager, but one that is AU$72 for a case of 24. completely unacceptable for a beer that really isn't all that good or exciting.
