No date on the can, but should be the same as rudzud

Pours a decent foamy almost creamy 1/2 finger head that fades semi slowly, nice retention, good lacing too, dark almost black beer with a little ruby light

Nose nice dark malt aroma, a little roasty toasty dark malt, a little dark chocolate and coffee as well, a touch of sweetness and caramel like, hint of hop, very nice nose

Taste starts with more dark malts, a little roasty with hint of char, some roasted coffee in the background with super dark bitter chocolate, a touch of sweet caramel attempts to come through but dries on it's way and brings a touch of a spicy rye note, quite dry all around, then big spicy earthy hops kick in, pretty bitter, robust roasty charred malt without acrid, but plenty of charred roasted bitterness as well, dry finish, lingering bitterness

Mouth is med bod, nice fizzy carb, dry and a touch creamy almost

Overall a very solid porter, great malt profile, hops are nice but get a little too bitter and spicy, but very nice porter that I could see myself drinking pretty often if it was available around here

Received as an extra in a trade. Canned 8/8/16.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice dark brown hue with a thin one finger off white head that fades to leave light wisps and a thin blanket.

S - Aromas of chocolate, english toffee, little bit of coffee, little bit of roasty malts. Pretty typical, solid.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice light coffee, which brings bitterness, as does the chocolate here bring a little bit of bitterness. Light light roast as well, almost get a little flash of vanilla. Nice flashes of rye, as it warms the roast comes out more. Nice and straight forward.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, body is a little on the lighter side.

O - Overall this was a rather solid, straight forward English Porter. Nice chocolate and roast, great on an early fall night.

I found this beer to have a nice flavor, hints of coffee. It was a bit astringent and was definitely on the thinner side. Definitely want to revisit this one in the future.

Really bold in flavor with tons of that roasty goodness you'd want from a porter. This was my 2nd favorite, behind the IPA. Looked a bit thin but for a porter, probably typical. I don't remember the aroma popping but I thought this thing had a ton of flavor, another superbly clean brew and something I'd happily spend more money on.
