A Microbrewery Club offering. Pours a gold color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. No discernable aroma. Taste is tangy and sweet; no hoppy bitterness. Crisp and dry.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, light golden body with an inch of snow white froth.
Smell: Grainy, grassy nose with jutting florals and a pinch of coarse-ground black pepper fore of some far lighter hints of bread, fruit.
Taste: A grainy, light breadiness with a pop of honeyed sweetness. Swiftly, it turns towards a hoppy quality of vinous nectarine with a strong peppery, floral element. Medium bitterness. Slight yeast character in amidst the drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Decent.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a clear golden with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had grain and earthy notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bread and grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

M: LIght to medium
O: A really nice German style lager. Would love to have again. Picked up at whole foods in Savannah GA.

12 oz can
A slight haze to a golden color with amber highlights. A full blown 3" tower of white foam and sticky lace is impressive. Nice looker.
A sweet malty aroma, honey malt, golden wheat, sweet corn, slightly creamy with a tangy, herbal and hoppy sweet style nose.
Incredibly crisp, clean malty mouthfeel and flavor. A slightly long malty slickness in the finish. Buttery malt, honey like sweetness, dried herbs, green veggies and a mix of spices are all very interesting. A rather complex and interesting version of this style. Southern Barrel totally nails the style!!
Yeah....dang, seriously impressed!
