Poured from the bottle into a pilsner style glass.

Bright but dark and shimmering brass yellow, with crystal clear clarity. Fine and just the right amount of plentiful carbonation, perhaps a little less than I anticipated, tracking it's way to a thick but soupy bleach white three finger head. Cup and island slight retention, like a weak meringue, and nice creamy lacing on the edges. Great looking pilsner.

Classic German aroma it seems with a touch of candy like sweet. Muted and solid bread white dough, a nice touch of spiced hop herbality, and an almost cotton candy sweetness hiding in the back.

Palate takes a bit of a turn by seeing a bit dialed down. Very light bodied, almost like a very light Helles, with neutral and very subtle tones. Muted crispness but also doesn't seem to carry much bready density that seems like is hinted on the nose. Clean, yet particularly interesting sweet malt finish and a bit of muted hop profile.

It's decent and very easy drinking, but also feels very dumbed down. While good and pleasurable I'd probably prefer a different brand or maker, but she will work fine.

Appearance - This is a very thin yellow in color but with a nice, big, fluffy white head that left little pits on top of the liquid.

Smell - There's a light grassy hop aroma that isn't bad but doesn't nail the style. It's off and kind of stale.

Taste - The malt comes out a bit more at the taste but again the hops are stale. The overall effect is that it tastes like the ingredients are really cheap but I'm sure that's not the case as this brewery has a strong reputation.

Mouthfeel - This is light-bodied with modest carbonation and no finish to speak of.

Drinkability - This was good enough to finish but I wouldn't buy again.

tried this one on tap at the Collins bar in NY city. Poured light golden and clear. The head is quite white, lacing was minimal. Nose that I got was mostly of grass. This is a moderatly crisp and clean lager. highly quaffable and pleasant on the taste buds. German hops duly noted, as well as a note of rye. Versitile sessioner.

Clear and golden straw color. Mild head.

Light smell with hints of hay. Slightly sweet.

Very nice, smooth flavor... tastes very refreshing. Bitterness is minimal.

Crisp and dry. Cleans the palate well. Fits well with the style.

A nice smooth refrshing beer. Flavor is good and beer feels crisp in the mouth.

Absolutely transparent bright gold color, white marginal head with some sticky large bubbles. Downward falling string lacing. Good aroma, grape skins, hop, some honey laden with pollen. Malt is straightforward but ample, lightly sweet and maple in impression. Nice carbonation, sprightly but not overdone. The hops shine, peppery and crisp and excellent in the attenuation department. Nutty bittering in the aftertaste as well, good finish. This is one of the hoppier Pilsners I've had -- if it would keep I'd stock it for those occasions when you want a crisply bitter drinkable beer without the giant North American hop characteristics.

Appearance: Crystal clear straw tinted golden witha nice bubbly white head leaves very nice webbed lacing in full patches. Aroma: Some lemongrass sweetness, grainy, with Hallertau hops present to balance the sweetness a very nice crisply balanced brew so far. Taste: Pleasantly hoppy distinct European hops with a biscuit malt character, much more flavor than I was expecting simple but very tasty. Mouthfeel: Light to medium in body with a very smooth natural carbonation everything an American light lager will never accomplish. Drinkability: Very refreshing and easy to consume, definitely a session brew meant to be drank a few at a sitting.

On tap at the Pour Taproom in Greenville, SC.

Appearance: very light and pale golden body with a decent white head with some lacing.

Aroma: weird. Stronger than expected. Unusual and hard to describe but a bit dank.

Flavor: mild but bolder than the watery appearance suggests. Hop dominated with some caramel.

Feel: light body with medium carbonation.

Overall: distinctive.

Pours a clear golden/yellow with a giant white foamy head. The smell is alittle weak with only hints of floral and sweet malt present. The taste is very crisp with an intial hop bite that fades to a malt sweetness with floral earthy flavors. The m/f is light with all the flavors mixing well. A very good pils that could make this a summer everyday beer.

Pours a pale yellow with slight orange tint, totally clear with a stark white head that retains well for the style and leaves nice enough lacing.

Nose is full of lagery grain, typical grassy pilsner hop profile and a little bit of old lager sweetness.

Taste follows with some old lager like sweetness in the malt profile, almost an oktoberfest like malt dominance. There is still some hoppiness alive here, but its not prominent by any means. What there is is some minimal grassiness. The finish is fairly crisp, but nothing to remark at.

Mouthfeel is what you would expect. High carbontion and crisp thin viscosity.

Drinkability is pretty solid, but i'd imagine it would be considerably better if it were a bit more fresh.

Overall a decent representation of the style, but im pretty sure this bottle has some unwarranted age on it that has caused it to become something slightly less desireable. Still a good session beer and one i could drink a couple of with ease. A nice pils.

Glistening pale gold with a pure white head of freshly fallen snow. Large enough to shovel.
Lemon juice, iron and sourdough aroma.
A lightly toasted bagel beginning shifts into a midsection of saltine cracker dryness. Lingers on the vague maltiness for a moment before the salted, lemon peel hops enter, carrying faint impressions of prairie grass and herbs.
Dry and quenching. Quaffable but not forgettable.
A pristine pils

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pilsner flute, very clear gold color with a thick white head (though it disabated rapidly). Pretty faint bouquet, slightly floral. Crisp taste, grany but decently balanced; not exactly aw inspiring but a good example of a pilsner. I suppose that is one way of saying good but standard. The mouthfeel is fairly soft but slighly metalic.

Mild grainy, slightly hoppy aroma. Clear yellow/gold with frothy white head with good retention and some lacing. Bitter and dry but fairly well balanced overall. Some maltiness became more apprarent as beer warmed up. Slight alcohol detectable in flavor. Medium carbonation, light body. Dry finish.

A - A large white foamy head sits regally atop a clear lemon-honey brew. Head retention is really good, and a lot of really nice powdery lace is left on the glass. Not a stunner by any means, but it looks exactly like a German pils should.

S - Crusty French bread...the kind that's so hard it can be used as a weapon. I also smell some baking soda, margarine, and salt. The nose is okay, but sort of weak and underpowered.

T - Tastes much more assertive than it smells, thankfully! Really clean saltine cracker flavors make up the malt base, while spicy and peppery saaz funks it up a little. There is a nice fresh sweetness that I really like...sort of like that sweet bread that some sub-shops hand make. I get a sort of "bread, butter, pepper, and salt" feel from this one...like table condiments.

M - Light bodied, but firm and very crisp. Lots of carbonation, a dry finish, and a lot of hop spice makes this a real palate cleanser. Some wine snobs eat crackers between sips and spits to cleans their palate, and while this beer is fine enough to enjoy on it's own, it seems like it would do a good job of cleansing the palate between DIPAs and RISs at a beer tasting.

D - Highly drinkable despite a somewhat average flavor. I like how the peppery saaz notes fade away after swallowing, only to re-emerge in a burp and remind you of how spicy this one is.

Pours a translucent golden hue with a large foamy head that quickly dissipates. An astringent aroma with a hint of citrus and hop essence. Tastes like a standard pilsner at first, but the aftertaste is really something. Dry, lightly tart, lemony, faintly hoppy, just overall very busy. I liked this from the first sip and it's growing on me even more. Damn, I wish I'd bought more than one.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a golden yellow color with a white head that leaves a good amount of lacing. The aroma is malted grain with some spicy German hops. The taste is smooth with some malt up front with a nice little bite from the spicy hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is light and crisp. Overall, this is a very enjoyable pils that is highly drinkable. When in the mood for a pils, I will definately pick up again. Recommended.

Decanted from an 11.2 oz (330 ml) bottle into a conical pint glass; serial number, but no readable production data.
A: Pours a straw to very light golden color with a half inch, white head initially, clearing to a rim, and some lacing.
S: Aromas of corn and bread predominantly. Maybe a little mushroom and spice.
T: Dry. Very light malt with slightly less light bitterness and a slightly bitter aftertaste.
M: Light bodied with light carbonation. A bit creamy.
O: I thought it tasted more like a Czech than German Pilsner. Drinkable and refreshing, though a bit bitter for my personal taste.

This is a medium-priced average looking beer. It has a light color and produces a nice head.

It feels very clean and crisp in the mouth and has just a hint of bitter. This beer goes very well with a late night salty snack.

The first bottle I had won't be the last.

Appearance: It's tranrent and light golden in color. Head is foamy and about two fingers deep. Retention was good though lacing was on the light side.

Smell: Very grainy and earthy initially. Sweet caramel malts are present. A bit yeasty or biscuit. Very light hop presence.

Taste: It's extremely consistent with its smell. Its predominantly grainy and earthy. Hops are faint, but provide just enough bite to recognize their presence. Caramel malts are sweet and balance it pretty well.

Mouthfeel/Drinkability: It's light bodied, has a nice crisp bite, and is well carbonated. It goes down very easy and is drinkable. That being said, the flavor is nothing special which somewhat limits its drinkability. Overall, it's an alright beer. I wouldn't characterize it as special in any respect.

Keep in mind I'm not judging whether or not it fits the perfect Pilsner mold, just whether or not I liked it. And damn, I liked it. Keep in mind I was 5 beers deep when I had this. (also keep in mind I'm built like shaq)

This beer was served cold, perfect finger and a half head held on through the entire drink. The only thing distorting my vision through the drink was the glass itself. It was just a beautiful straw looking beer.

The taste was lightly floral, not thick, but not watery at all. A slight skunky taste as well, which was very nice.

After two disappointing casked porters, this really hit the mark.

Edit: Picked up a six pack of it and was very disappointed. Was quite plain in bottle form. No skunky taste at all which was ironic.
