Sampled from a 5 liter keg can.

This pils poured a clear golden color with white foam that left lace. The carbonation action was good. The smell was malt and biscuit - a nice persistent aroma. The taste was malty and biscuity with some floral hops and mild bitter hops. The mouthfeel was smooth and crisp and relatively clean. The body and carbonation feel were medium. This was a good german pils.

Pours out to a brilliantly clear straw golden, forming a rocky bone-white head with very good retention and excellent clumps of lacing. Carbonation is mild to moderate. Aroma of traditional pils...freshly mown hay, husky and dry delicate pale malts, noble hops, freshly fermented. Fresh with minimal skunk. Taste is exact echo of the aroma. Delicate malt body with medium-firm bitterness. Mouthfeel is bright initially but softens throughout and ends with a lightly dry finish. Light bodied. Cleanly fermented with no off-flavors. Alcohol is imperceptable. Up there with other very good pils. Reminds me of Steinlager. Good refreshing brew. Recommended as far as pilseners go.

12 ounce bottle - $2.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours out a perfectly clear, yellow body with a medium-sized, frothy, white head.

Smell: Moderate degree of sweet-scented graininess on the nose coupled with notes of noble hops and just a whisper of DMS.

Taste: Subtly grainy Pilsner malts with a modest touch of imparted sweetness. The maltiness is balanced well by spicy noble hops that also yield a slight, grassy herbaceousness. Rather small, fleeting traces of DMS. Finishes dry, crisp, and clean.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.

Drinkability: It's another hot, muggy, stinky in all the wrong places kind of day in Georgia and it's not even summertime yet and as much I enjoy a full-bodied, hearty stout, I was definitely looking for something lighter and more refreshing to satisfy. While it's not the punchiest pils on the block (this could be an issue of freshness, sadly there a no apparent dating codes on the bottle), it did fare well with me when it came to being refreshing and easily drinkable.

Pours a perfectly clear gold with a billowing white head. The foam reduces to a small, solid cap with great lacing. Strong aromas of grassy, grainy pilsener malts hit the nose; nice, light sweetness without much hop presence. This grainy malt character is dominant in the taste as well, though slightly floral hops come forward. Nice peppery, dry finish. Light-medium body. Overall, a very refreshing, well-crafted lager

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at LaBodega in Riverside CA for $10.99. A little high for a 6 of pils, but worth a try.

Pours a light crisp clean yellow, with a nice 2 inch white head. After the head settles a bit, the carbonation keeps a gentle cover over the beer.

Aroma is clean and refreshing, light sweet lemon, malts, and vague grassy notes. Flavor follows through, although the lemony becomes more subtle and the slightly sweet malts shine on. Light hoppiness around the edges and the back of the palate after the swallow.

Mouthfeel is just a tad bit tart after the swallow, but generally clean and refreshing. A well constructed pils that is incredibly easy to drink.

A - Poured out a clear, straw yellow color with a two-finger, white, pillowy head of fluffy foam. It left thin traces of lace.

S - It smelled of grains and floral notes. No skunkiness thanks to a brown bottle.

T - It had a sharp, spicy hop bite for a pilsener. Good grain flavor with some caramel sweetness. Really well done.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light bodied lager with a fairly dry finish.

D - This was really pretty good. I feared it might be old because of the high price point. Quite a tasty German Pils.

Pours a bright yellow color with a huge white head into my glass. Lots of lacing and so forth.

Sweet with a good dose of buttery malt and grassy hops upfront. Smells like the style for sure.

Crisp, lightly buttered malt greets the tongue, followed by a decent hop bite.

Clean with just the right level of carbonation. Closer to the style than some examples I've had.

A decent, easy to enjoy pilsner for those who are fans of the style. Worth a try.

Appearance- High, bright-white, bubbly head with moderate retention and a very bright, clear yellow beer

Smell- Light malts and hops, not much of either

Taste- Clean, light pale malts up front and moderate, fresh vegetable hop hit which fades to a dry finish. Simple and unadulterated by adjunts flavors. What Pils should taste like and probably what Bud would taste like without adjuncts.

Mouthfeel- Crisp carbonation, somewhat watery

Drinkability- So refreshing, great beer on a hot day. Gone quickly and another would be welcome. I'd love to taste this recipe as an Imperial pilsner, that would be amazing.

Bottle poured into a standard US pint glass.

Pours a >2cm head of medium-sized bubbles, white in color, producing a very dense-looking collection. This fades, over the course of the drink, to a 0.5cm ring around the glass and some islands of foam. The body is a pale golden color, transparent, with a single stream of continuous carbonation holding the perpetual head aloft.

Aroma is clean and distinct, giving odes to flowery hops and light, sweet malts.

Taste opens with fairly good balance between flowery and herbal hop flavors alongside pilsner malt sweetness and grain flavors. The malt components win out briefly, yielding light breadiness . Hops reclaim in the finish with a slight citrus rind twang leading to nice, comfortable bitterness in the back of the tongue. Lingering taste of faint malt and gentle bitterness.

Body is medium to medium light. Could use a bit more carbonation than what experienced, but still adequate. Finish is dry.

While drinking this and writing the review, I didn't even notice how quickly I had finished the beer. This is just a very crisp, clear German pilsener that showcases everything enjoyable about the style.
