i assume this is brewed with or in support of the non profit, which is cool, i have a lot of love for that, but unfortunately, grand teton did little justice to how cool it is with this beer, which is a real generic and samey ipa, nothing special about it, it doesnt seem to me anyway, and nowhere near the high level of quality i have come to expect from these guys. a clear honey colored brew with a short head from the tap and an aroma of citra and mosaic, or some similar widely used combination, maybe simcoe in the mix, its got some light tropical fruit, but its generic in that its nonspecific, and its hard to really place any varietal exactly here. its like not quite juicy and not quite bitter at the same time, and almost drinks more like a modern pale, with a pretty full spectrum hop profile, dry hopped and all, but rather average to me on the whole. the fermentation is clean, but the beer just seems basic and uninspired, which probably should not be the case with the pink boots name attached. its not bad, nothing from grand teton ever is, but they could have done a whole lot more with this. i was not impressed.
