The appearance was a soft hazy orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There’s some light stringy lacing coming from the dieing head. The smell had a big juicy citrus aroma with an invasive strong pine note to assist in a wonderful smell. The taste started off sweet and eventually showed a mild bittersweet flavoring to start to show. On the palate, this one shows a nice sesionability in a light to medium sort of body. The carbonation was delicately harsh with a fine lingering gentleness to it. A light spicy smooth undercurrent of juicy citrus with pine rolls over my tongue. Overall, what a wonderful APA that I definitely would have again.

From notes taken 12/16/16:

Dull orange amber in appearance, semi-clear and flecky throughout. Head is of moderate retention, creamy-tan but also fairly creamy in consistency. Very sticky lace. Smells like grass, light resin and rind, pinch of caramel and bread. Similar to palate only bread is more forward and arguably more of a grain quality than grass. Hops aren’t too forward and seem almost tea or leaf-like, even though this is indeed and American Pale Ale. Still rind and resin as well. Medium to full in body, half suds, half spritz, very refreshing.

A tad hazy, amber in color, lots of coronations which leads to robust lacy head that lingers. Smells of citrus and grass. Citrus and resin notes in the taste. This beer is sweet as the name suggests and is not as hoppy as I expected being close to the Pacific Northwest.

Pours - Clear amber color, thin off white to tan head that quickly dissipates no lacing.

Smell - Sweet caramel, toast, little bit of hops and citrus.

Taste - Little bit of bitterness from the hops, slight sweetness like caramel, little orange peel.

Feel - Medium body, good carbonation, slightly dry.

Overall - A decent beer, good flavor.

Pours slightly hazy nice copper with a bit of good foam that sticks to the glass.

Well, smells grassy and citrusy!

Mouthfeel next for this one - decent, bubbley, clean, but a bit thick and....

Taste is a bit syrupey and/or buttery. That's kind of a feel and taste thing at the same time, which is why I went in this order.

Now for the taste - hoppy and almost sweet, but more like an IPA. I don't know my hops enough to pick the name of it, but it is kinda forward.

Overall a good apa and/or ipa, but it blends in with the many others that are also available and equally as good in their own way. Definitely worth a try at least once. How can all the individual aspects get rated higher than the overall? Again, a bunch of good stuff going on, but all together nothing that screams to me "get me more"... It's just okay. I'll update this in a week or so if I'm yearning for it, but I doubt I will be.
