Poured 16oz can into pint glass. Very pale, cloudy yellow with a 2 finger white head that quickly fizzes away. Aroma is definitely lemon Berliner with hints of lime and some grain. Flavor is fermented wheat that is tart with fresh lemonade, lime spritz and a hint of saline. A light and fizzy feel that was quite refreshing on this hot day. You could add some iced tea and have a Arnold Palmer Raddler.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours opaquely hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of tart/sour lemon, lime, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white grape, berry, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, lemon, salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tart/sour lemon, lime, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white grape, berry, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light spiciness, and fruit/wheat tang on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, pear, melon, green apple, white grape, berry, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, lemon, salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness balance; and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, creamy/grainy/acidic, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.6%. Overall this is a delicious Gose. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, lemon, salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/drying finish, never overly lactic or salty. Very flavorful for the low ABV. Great balanced complexity between Lacto, lemon, spice, and salt; nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. A perfect beer for summer.

Bright hazy straw body with a nice white head retention on top! A gose leaving lacings? Dam right!
Smells like a basket of lemon, lactic acid and a hint of grains.
Taste like lemonade with a lactic side, salty, very refreshing! Impressive mouthfell for a gose!

Another thank to Joe for this one....

Garden pours more like a harvest of lemons than a space of foliage. It's yellow opaque body looks like freshly made lemonade, stirred up, vibrant, and beautiful. The wispy white foam on top leaves spotty lacing, and is somewhat reminiscent of a salt rimmed Margarita glass, except laced from top to bottom.

It smells as it looks. Like an ocean of lemonade, briney and citrusy. Difficult to smell much else, and that is perfectly fine by me.

This is an exceptionally refreshing beverage. I'm going to include the feel with the flavor on this one as they seem symbiotic. It tastes like lemon peel rather than just lemon, and it is so bright, light, and crisp. The salt is perfect. Not puckering, just seasoned. And it all pops like a blast of sunshine.

This here is a wonderful beer. I keep mentioning its fresh look and feel, and to me, that's what this is. A clean and refreshing beer from front to back, image to taste to feel.

Hot on the heels of the sour stay, the brewers at Central State roll out a German-styled gose with a few American twists. Citrusy and piney hops link up seamlessly with lime zest for a sour ale that exacerbates the classic sour taste in only a way that American brewers can.

Garden isn't exactly your garden variety sour ale. Its pale gold hues pull through a firm haze and settles underneath a creamy, faltering foam. Sharp aromas of high citrus, orchard fruit and soft breadiness resonate on the nose while its taste of sourdough mingles with pulled candy, saltwater taffy and dough.

As the middle palate unfolds, the sweet and malted taste dissolves and the bulk of taste resonates with white grape, crabapple, lime, lemon and gooseberry. As the ale trends lean and short, its hop influence brings a grapefruity taste with a hay-like grassines and a glaze of burlap for earthy measure.

Medium bodied and trending light and dry, the beer's rounded creaminess gives way to acidity that carries a dry taste and texture. But the middle palate and late palate lumbers with a watery effect that seems table beer-like with seltzer and blandless becoming formidable foes.

16 ounce can, no dating on it that I noticed. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a hazy straw gold color with about an inch and a half off-white head that stayed around for a bit. There's also a good amount of lacing. The brew smells like lemon/lemon peel, salt and grainy/bready malt. Taste is the same as the aroma, it's mostly lemony with some salt and grainy/breadiness noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is light, it's refreshing and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good hot weather brew, I wish I would have bought another 4-pack. Certainly worth picking up if you come across some!

really good gose style with the right amount of the right fruit, they did a great job with this, but next to the meyer lemon berliner they do (which is one of the best i have ever had), this really pales in comparison. the lemon here is sharper, straight yellow lemon not the sweeter orangier meyer lemon. but the dosage is good, it seems right about as sour as the lacto process yields, and its a very refreshing drink. i think there is just the right amount of salt here too, it adds a very mild brine element but more of an earthy mineral character and seems to enhance the wheat malt aspect of this, which otherwise might be too light for the fruit and the acidity, so the salt helps bright it up into balance. a well honed beer, very dialed in, dry and bubbly too, super refreshing and the pint cans are great. these guys really impressed me with all of their beer, seems weird the beer geeks arent freaking out about this stuff, maybe they arent so vocal in indianapolis... light and crushable full flavored beer that stands out from the crowd of fruited goses. i liked this a whole lot. perfect for this time of year and not too sour that you couldnt slam a four pack in a sitting. killer beer.

Canned 11/2016. Thanks Greg!

From can into Pilsner glass.
Nice full glass of white soupy head that dissipates fast. Straw yellow semi hazy in color

Smells of salty lemon, spot on.

Taste as it smells. Nice wheaty back bone with slight sour from salt. Lemon is present but a little subdued but noticeable.

Overall an above average flavored Gose. Extreamly crushable and perfect for the beach, or pool for you guys in Indiana
