Average pour fills half the pint glass with bleached white foam, very airy yet slow to dissolve, agitated surface, very uneven, hardly any lacing, tiny spots here or there. Washed out yellow hued liquid, translucently gauzy, oddly hardly any visible bubbles, maybe they exhausted themselves during the pour. Linear and fresh nose of lemon, lemon and more lemon, peppery with wafer cracker and lighter pine accents, no dankness at all, subtly tropical array of pear, pineapple, mango to guava fruit, more bite than juice, comes across overall as understated. Light to medium-bodied, the carbonation is low so it can seem sluggish at times and trudges across the palate. Still, has a generally creamy texture which takes the edge of the lemon to white grapefruit citrus (which still remains a dominant factor). Cracker, some oats in a more unprocessed, cereal fashion. Some peppercorn aspect but lighter here. Green tea, chamomile and a brief gesture towards pine. What drops off a lot in the mouth is the fruit, tenuous grip in the apricot, pear, red apple to star fruit flavors. Neither all that dry nor sweet, falls short of refreshing which hampers drinkability. Valid stab but not leaving this imbiber seeking more.

Can dated 11/29:
Body pours like a white ale or even witbier. A highly hazed but not completely cloudy body supports a fluffy white head. The initial head falls to a thin cap, but it has near full coverage and does provide some good lacing.

Nose has a bit of a near funky orange and tangerine rind smell initially. This actually fades and I get a nice floral hop note. There's a bit of canteloupe, and some tropical flowers. The oat comes throughas well (a little stronger before it warms. There is a vegetable compost hoppiness note about this beer that is actually enticing (and does fade a tad).

The vegtal notes have a little more force in the taste, intially. There is a fruited bubblegum like note (maybe a little blueberry I saw noted, and and a little honeydew. I get a little green pine cone note that precedes a more resinous pine note the starts growing by mid-taste. The pine continues to grow, and the oat note also comes into play. Next some lemony notes, lemongrass and oat start to play a small role. The aftertaste has a bit of lingering dryness.

I quite enjoyed this beer. The oat was obvious enough it didn't seem rough as it sometimes does to me in these hazy beers. The flavor combined with the pine such that the second half of the beer The opening doesn't shine, but is quite enjoyable - but the second half to me is the more tasty half of the beer.

The Brett flavors completely dominate the taste. Aroma very similar to the taste. Not my cup of tea but if you are into Brett flavors give it a try.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pint can on December 15, 2017. Tastes like a hoppy saison. The Brett just overwhelms the hops and oats. If you like Brett, you'll likely enjoy this.

A: Pours an lightly hazy pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate straw yellow + pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a medium sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of floral, herbal, tropical/cantaloupe, citrus/tangerine, and citrus/grapefruit hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of bready + oat malts.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of bready + oat malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of floral, herbal, tropical/cantaloupe, citrus/tangerine, and citrus/grapefruit hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which does not linger for too long leaving some herbal + floral hop flavors lingering.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially crisp with a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and pleasant hop flavors + aromas. Enjoyable and refreshing.

T - The taste is tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, white pepper, cracker and bitter hops.

Pours a hazy golden color. 5/4 inch head of a white color. Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of citrus, citrus hops, slight sweet malt, wheat, earthiness, and floral hops. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is a noticeable dryness, slight bitterness, and tartness as well. Tastes of strong citrus hops, slight citrus, earthiness, wheat, pale malt, slight sweet malt, and a hint of floral hops. Overall, good aroma, appearance, and body.
