From a can. Clear brown color with a thin layer of tan head. Not much aroma. Medium body. Earthy malt with a floral and grassy hop finish. Old school English version of this style, haven't had one like this in awhile.

Pours a medium brown color with a foamy tan head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of spices and roasted malts. Taste is spicy with a sweet finish. Easy drinking; not too bitter.

From a can from a beer club. Pours the little darker than some pale ales, but then it's maltier than most pale ales, too. Tastes earthy and malty and enough hops to balance the caramel. I'd order it again.

Had years ago, and again recently poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped "20350," into nonic pint.

Pours bronze-gold, with up to a finger of very light-tan head, that unfortunately drops to a film, and leaves only a little lace. Aroma is caramel malt and initially some sharp fruit, but mostly malt. Lots of caramel malt upon drinking, over a creamy body, with a hint of fruit, before a moderately bitter, very dry finish. A nice effort at the classic English Pale.

A: slight haze; amber in color; 1 finger light khaki head that receded to a thin film; nice lacing;

S: sweet malt, caramel, earthy, tea, grassy;

T: sweet malt caramel, earthy, tea, floral; malt sweetness fades toward the end; mild bitterness on the finish;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish;

O: I had low expectations, but this turned out to be a pretty good representation of an English pale ale;

good but not great in my opinion, though I could see this could be a great beer for certain taste buds. Smell earthy, malty, caramel. Flavor toasted caramel.
