Pours a darkened copper with very little white foam bubbling out. Head retention is okay. Transparency is closer to clear than foggy. Aroma is herbal, floral, citrus hops with bready, nutty, earthy malts forming the other half. Flavor profile follows the same path, hitting notes of resiny, herbal, lightly citrus hops layered over biscuity, bready and earthy malts. It's simplistic and balanced in its profile. Mouth feel is crisp with a medium-thin consistency. It's been enjoyable while sipping outside on a hot day and crushing on a cold winter night. Overall, simple with nothing really miraculous at any turn. It's the shy and quiet kid in class.
Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 12oz bottle.

From the bottle this beer pours with a small head. Deep golden red color with moderate cloudiness. Excellent nutty flavor with bitter grapefruit aftertaste. The hop flavor does not come through very well and is even missing in the smell. That being said, the smell is sweet and pleasing but it seems closer to an amber ale which makes me rate it lower as an APA. Great full mouth feel and light carbonation.

This is an light amber colored beer with a decent head. The nose is sweet and hoppy. The taste is somewhat sweet and a little nutty. The hops give a good floral and bitter flavor. The mouthfeel is really full. It's not a bad beer.

Purchased a 6-pack from Aldi’s VA Beach, VA. Good value for an American Amber Ale. Orange, coppery color with a bit of head. A good example of an American Amber ale. Easy to drink and very tasty.

My sister purchased at Aldi's for $6.49 in Houston per 6 pack so you can't beat the price for this kind of a pale ale. Orangey straw color with a medium white head. Greatly consistent lacing on the glass. Poured from a bottle that has been chilled in the fridge. Malty and piney taste is what comes to my tastebuds. Also refreshingly crisp. Great summer beer.

A good value like a lot of products at Aldi.

Great beer for the money. As a Brit I love what we call a bitter. This is a good middle of road bitter. Not hoppy. Not sweet. A little 'bitter'. A good beer. Aldi do many things very well at a very reasonable price.

This would be a great beer if you're just getting into hops but not quite ready for IPA's. There's a definitely sweetness to this particular beer which balances out the hops. I'm a diehard IPA/Imperial drinker but I got these as I'm trying to get my GF to stop drinking trash beer and get more into hops. I picked this up for under $7 bucks a 6 pack at Aldi's too so about a dollar a beer that's hard to beat.

I enjoy the whimsical winged cow logo. I poured a 12 oz bottle into a Royal Gorge souvenir pint glasss.
Pours a light amber color. Head is thick and moderately pervasive. Decent lacing. There's a lot of haze here. This looks like an unfiltered wheat beer, maybe yeast in suspension? Not a lot of aroma. A litle malt sweetness and floral hops.
The maltiness is more geared toward bread than caramel. Piney hops counter the malty sweetness. It's a nicely balanced beer. I think there's more flavor derived from the yeast in this beer than I normally associate with pale ales. That's not a bad thing. It's pretty interesting.
In summation, this is not a world beater but not bad. Worth trying. I'll buy it again, but it's not among my favorite pale ales. Good.
