a a bit cloudy, not bad at all there. minimal head, really only a film. just slightly above the surface of the beer next to zero lacing

s so very awesome, IPA notes hit me soon as the cap was off...love this

t Good good good: carb blends with the ABV bite and the hoppiness to make it ooh soo nice

m a bit oily, or maybe even syrupy.

d precious to be savored indeed

I bought this beer from Aldi supermarket (Kissimmee Fl) and absolutely love IPA's. I really consider Serra Nevada like the standard of good american IPA's. This beer was really good, I dare say its something I would expect to pick up at a total wine and more in the craft section. It packs a punch at 6.9% but its smooth, piney light malts and just a well balanced IPA. If you see this beer and like IPA's Im hoping you give it a try.
Its very bit as good as a Lagunitas.

Poured out of a 12 oz. bottle into my Weyerbacher Cuvee tulip. No discernible date on the bottle.
Body is a dark golden orange with a full fingers worth of head; leaving a decent amount of lacing.
Some aromas of pine, orange and some dank grassiness.
Taste has some up front bitterness, slight amount of pine with some citrus; real light.
Light mouth feel with a lingering bitterness.
Overall, this is a decent IPA, MUCH better than I thought it would be, buying it from ALDI for $6.99! This isn't a mind blower or palate wrecker, but a good introductory IPA for someone just getting into craft beer.

I pick up the WR at ALDI looking for something new to sample. The WR has a crispy wheat and pale malt flavors with a big round & juicy hop finish. This is a very flexible beer – great for those new to the IPA style as well as for seasoned veterans. Unquestionably a great beer to keep stocked all year long! I will pick this up again ....cant beat the price $6.99.

I love IPA's and have never met one I didn't like -- until tasting Wild Range IPA. The citrus nose, taste, and viscosity are my blind taste test identifiers. The cloudiness is another mark. The Wild Range bottle missed those marks. I smelled tomatoes on the vine and found the aftertaste kinda flat and stale. Regrets.

Just awful...
Looks a little darker than expected, almost a copper color
Smells like pine and honey, cheap though
Tastes like Budweiser mixed with a bad IPA
Feel - carbonation is spot on, smooth with a small amount of film on the tongue
Picked a six pack up at Aldi for $6.99. I won't be getting this one again.

Good, thick head. Mildly hazy pale amber. Malty sweet grapefruit IPA nose. Sweet, mellow, full flavour that has a pleasantly mild bitterness until swallow, when it coats your tongue with it, lingering. Full and smooth mouthfeel.

Bough this at Aldi. Ok. Its LOOKs good, it SMELLS good and it even FEELS good on the palate. HOWEVER......... I can only describe the TASTE like this: Imagine a hot & humid South African midday in late August, just after a fast moving rain shower. A large old wild Hippopotamus has the misfortune of drinking runoff from a small lye soap factory, located next to a field of decaying hops, which is directly adjacent to a grove of ancient lemon trees . Then the Hippo pisses. This beer is that piss.

If you're reading these reviews, you already know this is not going to be a good beer. However, don't try it anyway just to see. I drink exclusively IPAs and am not a lightweight. I drank this beer and have never felt worse the next day. It's comparable to drinking way too much tequila. Please be kind to your body and go to another store to purchase beer.

If you don't go in thinking you are drinking an IPA, but a buddies home brew scotch ale he used centennial hops and it went a little off the rails, you will find an interesting beer. If you are rating this as a traditional IPA or something in the category as it is generally observed, this beer fails.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of citrus hops, but a bit weak. Tastes of piney hops with a tad of citrus, with decent grain, however the combination is not quite the best. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an average beer.

In appearance, it is somewhat hazy, not NEIPA levels though. It forms a decent head, nothing special. It smells very hoppy with lots of resiny notes and more subdued citursy notes. There is a hint of earthiness. The taste is very hoppy as well. The mouthfeel is good, with a rich feel and good carbonation. Overall is a good IPA but doesn't particularly stand out.

A = Very light copper, with little head unless poured straight-up and even then it's modest. White with minor but consistent rimming.

S = Nice nose of rich malts, slight liquor but I'm not finding much of hops in the nose which seems odd for an IPA.

T = Decent IPA quality, some hops bitters and florals, some biscuit and modest orange citrus.

F = Slight astringency and puckering, slight sweetness in the finish, decent complexity.

O = $6.99 at Aldi's for a 6-pack and that's fairly decent. Occasionally but rarely, a local grocery will have some Sierra Nevada 12-packs for weekly special at about the same price, and this IPA is fairly close to that quality.

I was avoiding ever buying beer again at Aldi's. The European ones they had were truly inferior and I never tried any of the others because of that. This week I decided I would give their sampler 12 of the new American style craft beers a chance. All three were much better than expected and an excellent value. I recommend all craft beer lovers pick up a sampler for that purpose - sampling.

It IPA is a little dark for the style - slightly orage. There is loads of head, nice bubbles and lace. The aroma is a little weak, malty and dark for the style.

The taste works. It is a nice balanced malt and hops, like a decent sized beer should be. For an AIPA there should be more hops (their American pale is very pungent). It has a nice finish, slightly malty.

Who knows when this was brewed - my guess is almost 4 months ago, but there wasn't anything to indicate. Nobody tell that Aldi people that they have a winner with these three new beers, OK? They'll just raise the prices.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of toasted caramel, pine and citrus. It tasted of sweet citrus, light pine notes and caramel.
