What made this beer fantastic was the fact that I paid $5.99 for a six pack at Aldi. That's crazy. As far as the actual beer, average at best. Nothing great here and the taste did seem a little artificial. All in all though, still miles above anything else in that price range.

I pick up the WR at ALDI looking for something new to sample. The WR has a crispy wheat and pale malt flavors with a big round & juicy hop finish. This is a very flexible beer – great for those new to the IPA style as well as for seasoned veterans. Unquestionably a great beer to keep stocked all year long! I will pick this up again ....cant beat the price $6.99.

Poured out of a 12 oz. bottle into my Weyerbacher Cuvee tulip. No discernible date on the bottle.
Body is a dark golden orange with a full fingers worth of head; leaving a decent amount of lacing.
Some aromas of pine, orange and some dank grassiness.
Taste has some up front bitterness, slight amount of pine with some citrus; real light.
Light mouth feel with a lingering bitterness.
Overall, this is a decent IPA, MUCH better than I thought it would be, buying it from ALDI for $6.99! This isn't a mind blower or palate wrecker, but a good introductory IPA for someone just getting into craft beer.

I love IPA's and have never met one I didn't like -- until tasting Wild Range IPA. The citrus nose, taste, and viscosity are my blind taste test identifiers. The cloudiness is another mark. The Wild Range bottle missed those marks. I smelled tomatoes on the vine and found the aftertaste kinda flat and stale. Regrets.

I bought this beer from Aldi supermarket (Kissimmee Fl) and absolutely love IPA's. I really consider Serra Nevada like the standard of good american IPA's. This beer was really good, I dare say its something I would expect to pick up at a total wine and more in the craft section. It packs a punch at 6.9% but its smooth, piney light malts and just a well balanced IPA. If you see this beer and like IPA's Im hoping you give it a try.
Its very bit as good as a Lagunitas.

First off this beer tastes much better knowing it didn't run me $10 for a six pack like most craft beers these days. :) Picked it up at the local Aldi (new to this area of LA) for a mere $6.99 a sixer. Not sure this is a true IPA given that the bitterness level isn't up to par with a typical IPA but nonetheless a drinkable pale ale. It's a screw top cap - not a big fan of that feature (reminds me of other mass produced beers.) Aroma - slight sweet orange zest but really very faint. Taste - bitterness is present on the middle of the tongue, hop is a dank/orange with a touch of sweet candy maltiness. Finish is sweet, not much hop bite that should be noticeable in a true IPA. Hop is more wet/dank (very East Coast) vs. the clean citrus of the West coast style. It has a nearly a 7% ABV that is very well masked - unlike some IPAs with a similar ABV that have a heavy syrup character. Overall a good pale ale at a great price. Worth a try if you find yourself in an Aldi grocery store.

Purchased from my local Aldi for $6.99 a six pack. Amber in color with a tan head. A big frothy head dissipates slowly leaving some lacing. Actually smells and tastes like a mild IPA. Drinkability is very high. Overall, I am impressed. I will purchase again.

I'll try anything once

I like IPAs. And I love Aldi. Aldi is my type of place. They have excellent food at very low prices. And they surprisingly have excellent beer. At my Aldi the beer and wine section keeps growing. The beer is good. They have good Moscato. And the prices are unbeatable. So whenever I see a new beer at Aldi, I pick it up. So I saw this sitting there so I grabbed it.

It's not that good. There are better IPAs out there. I love pouring it in a glass and taking a good long whiff of an IPA, but the smell of this is weak. IPAs are known for their bitterness, but they also have that awesome IPA taste. With this, the bitterness was there, but that's about it. I won't be getting this. There are too many other good options.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 0z bottle on August 6, 2015. Look is golden, head is thin, and lacing is present. Smell is grain and a hint of citrus. Taste is grain and bitter citrus. Feel is medium with a little bitterness.
