I got a can of this off the single shelf at a Kroger store in Antioch, TN whilst down there for sons hockey tourney. It poured a clear rich ruby amber with off white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had caramel malt presence. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with malt forward base. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was an ok beer.

12oz can into a glass. Thanks to B-I-L brian, who bought these up to PA from TN. Best by 5/8/18, so I'm guessing about a month old.

pours a reddish amber color, with a generous light tan head. nice lacing.

aroma is sweet and malty.

taste follows the nose, clean tasting. simple scottish ale, sweet malty, caramel. hops merely a suggestion.

mouth close to medium, finish sweet and malty.

overall, a good honest straightforward Scottish Ale.

Full disclosure, I like this brewery. This is a well crafted beer for the style. If you like a European style brew you need to try this one. The malt come through well, there's a caramel pecan type flavor that come through but it's certainly not overly sweet. Just right to make it slightly different.

Pours a clear dark amber color with slight carbonation. Smell is coffee with slight hops and toffee. Taste is only slightly coffee but a sweet finish. The lacing is good but it all slides down your glass like a sheet when u turn the glass. Overall a great brew

One of the smoothest and tastiest beers that I've ever had. Definitely a must try. My favorite amber!!

Poured into tulip glass. It pours a cola brown with ruby hues, and one finger of ecru-colored head and lacing that dissipated fairly quickly. It smells of sweet malt, caramel, and a hint of cherry. The taste largely follows the nose: it has a solid malt base with an almost Cherry Coke-like taste on the tip of the tongue. It finishes with a subtle taste of vanilla and some mild hops. It's actually a lot more complex than I first thought. It's quite light in body with moderate carbonation and, with an ABV of only 5% it is truly sessionable. Overall, while I wasn't expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised. The taste is reasonably complex and it's very drinkable. And the retro art on the bottle is cool: I feel like I'm drinking a beer in the sixties.

A clear chestnut brown with a shy light tan head. Faint lacing and tracks. A subtle malty nose with toasty bread and a hint of fruit. Taste follows. A pleasing bready and toasty malt with faint fruit and no bitterness. Medium bodied and not sticky.

My first tasting from this brewery.
From tap to growler, then into pint glass.

Look: Medium brown, and maybe just slightly reddish. Thin head. Med carbonation.
Smell: I can smell the malt.
Taste: Almost no hop taste (which I like), med malt. No bitterness.
Feel: Light in the mouth. Maybe watery.
Overall: I like this a lot. I'm still new to the craft brew world, and have not moved into hoppy beers. This beer is very drinkable all year round. Light, but flavorful. I would definitely keep it in the fridge.
