Had in a tulip at the La Jolla brewery after dinner
A- Golden orange with some soft fluffy white head that stays for a short time leaving a nice lacing
S- Banana up front, not something I was not expecting from this triple. Some sweet citrus notes on the finish.
T- Again, significant banana, somehow kind of reminds me of their hefeweizen for this trait. Followed by other fruits with a strong alcohol kick that is balanced well by a slight flavor of hops
M- Relatively light and refreshing with just enough carbonation
D- Overall good beer, the banana flavor can be a bit overpowering, but still a respectable beer. Even at 9% the alcohol does not prevent me from enjoying a lot of this, but the sweetness sure does.

Spicy, tangy, and rich amber ale.
Lots of malt but sweetness is reined in by the generous hops and a lot of Belgian yeasty flavors. Alcohol is pretty hot but it just adds to the acidic and spicy character. Attractive golden amber in the tulip glass. An elegant beer with a lot of Belgian flavors, but very clean and highly friendly drinkability.

I'm drinking this from a growler purchased from the brewery 30 min ago.
It pours golden, slightly darker than expected. It has a thin white head that doesn't stick around long.
Smell is sweet, fruity, getting maltier as it warms, some tropical fruit? Some yeasty complexity.
Taste is sweet and clean with some pronounced fruitiness that I am enjoying. Mouthfeel is a little heavier than I would want, a little light on airy carbonation.
Overall drinkability? Pretty good for an American trippel. Not overly complex, but hits the main points in a quite satisfactory manner.

Beer at Disneyland! Not just any old beer at Disneyland, REAL beer at Disneyland.
I got this at Disney's California Adventure, after half a warm day of carrying my kids all around the park. This was available from a cart (along with the usual KS beers found in bottles, and also a Saison), like some sort of miraculous mirage in the asphalt & concrete desert.
IIRC they labeled this their "Festiv-ale" as DCA is doing a months-long Food&Wine Festival right now.
To my parched tastebuds, it had similar notes to BJ's Grand Cru, but with better drinkability and less of that Belgian soapfunk. I liked the KS Tripel more.

I have a gallon growler that I totally under utilize, so I made a point to make it well used.
A- Orange, bronze. Slight haze thin foamy head that doesn't hang around very long, leaves a thin lacing along the glass.
S- Sweet caramel, strong banana. Ends with a slight brown sugar.
T- Banana, cantalope, sweet sugar followed quickly by alcohol warmth with a quick hit of bitterness.
M- Thin and slick.
D- Tastey brew, due to its sweetness I find it difficult to drink many of these, but a good beer.
