Created by George Sleeman in the late 1800s, Sleeman Cream Ale was the first brand produced by the two Guelph breweries, and still remains our most recognized brand.

Appearance - Comes in a clear bottle, which is a welcome change. Nice golden color, has a very slight almost unnoticeable haze. Head looks creamy but sadly quickly disappears, a little bit of minor lacing as well.
Smell - Definite grainy and hay like smell with a slight vegetable and hop undertone. Not overly strong though, and takes a while to notice.
Taste - Starts with a somewhat creamy malt flavor that then switches to a bitter mixed grain flavor (barely seems dominant) with a touch of hops. Ends with a brief watery grain that goes down smooth and then quickly becomes dry.
Mouthfeel - Leaves a bit of a dry sensation. The shift in flavor comes a bit too suddenly for my liking. Carbonation is ideal and the grain like aftertaste is quite subdued and smooth.
Drinkability - As you keep drinking it, the sudden shift in flavor becomes more and more pronounced, which hamstrings it somewhat. Thankfully the carbonation, and the fact it goes down smoothly helps it's case.
Final Thoughts - A solid beer, and I'd happily drink it as part of a variety pack or to have a couple with the boys at a bar. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to by a full 12 pack. Better then many of the big name beers, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

My happiness in a bottle. Taste realy great for a large brand beer. Sweet to the taste and just what I need after a long day. Lets just say it's my personal favorite.

Pours clear gold colour with a minimal head. The smell is sweet and grainy. The taste matches the smell, with mouthfeel being a little thin. This is a nice beer but it doesn’t taste like any cream ale I’ve ever had.

341 ml clear bottle. A light gold color with a little white froth. I used to drink a lot of this in grad school and even back then found it rather bland but otherwise unoffensive.
Aroma is grainy, slightly grassy, metallic. Smells like an old bottle cap. A faint corn-like sweetness and cooked veggies (DMS). More of the same on the palate. Creamed corn flakes, slight grassy/floral/citrus hops and vanilla. Very heavy carbonation. Slightly thicker than your average macro-lager. Pleasantly smooth. Crisp and clean. Not as cloyingly sweet as this brewery's Original Draft lager. Finishes with more dry grain astringency.
Became marginally more pleasant as I made my way through the bottle. Maybe one of the better Sleeman brews, which is not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Pours a light yellow with a light hop smell, and refreshing light malt taste. Sleeman cream ale for me is an average here in Canada it's one of those beers that sell a lot, and it's not not a beer that's discontinued. The taste is average at best, but for the price it isn't bad, but for a Canadian brewed beer, there are far superior beers out there.

It says it's a retiring beer, but here in canada it's still selling.
So the look of it: nothing too particular. Light golden color, with lots of carbonation.
The smell of it. It smells similar than the silver creek. It is corny
The taste of it. Corny with a bit of hops. Taste very similar than the Silver Creek again. I did enjoy that beer while watching a hockey game.
So overall would I recommend it ? Yes, this is a good beer overall. But the my favorite Sleeman would be the Silver Creek. It is more smooth than this one. But I still did enjoy it during a good hockey game
