Pours a very hazed straw color with plenty of effervescence with 3+ finger of whippy pearl colored head. Great head retention & lacing
S: Oranges in spades, along with pineapple
T: Follows the nose, plus dryness & a little mango up front. A little orange and pineapple, along with dryness as this warms, Finishes with grapefruit & a little dryness
MF: Fairly light-bodied, slight carbonation, decent balance
Very drinkable, a pretty good shot at the style, but just middle of the pack

Unfiltered New England style IPA brewed with Citra and Mosaic. Poured from a pint can into a New Belgium tulip. The pour is very hazy and pale gold in color - almost like pineapple juice - and sports about a finger of rocky white head. I get soft, juicy citrus fruit on the nose. Lemons, peaches, oranges, and honeydew melon.
Medium-light body with a firm feel. Up front I get oyster crackers with a little lemon rind, then those citrusy hops kick in and I'm met by more lemon, some grapefruit, and some pineapple. Finishes dry with lingering hints of lemon. Very nice!

Poured into a Wicked Weed snifter. No freshness date.
A- Pours a hazy medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a large center patch of sheer surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves tiny specs behind.
S- Initial aroma of pine soon turns to a juicy fruit type of smell. Also some soily, yeasty character.
T- Decently balanced flavors of citrus, pine and sweet malt. There's also that earthy, soily flavor detected in the nose and it's kind of getting in the way of the hop profile. Moderate bitterness and a bit of a metallic taste.
M- Somewhat sharp from the hops with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.
O- This would be good if it weren't for that off-putting yeasty flavor throughout.

In the same vein as wicked weeds pernicious on all levels but just with a fuller body and leaning more toward the NEIPA trend. For NC IPAs, this one is in the top 5 for me for sure. If you want a clean and smooth IPA that won’t be a bitter bomb or juice bomb, this is a pleasant one worth snagging. Candied fruits, peach rings and blueberries. Price point at $4.99 a can is kinda steep though?
