A- pours a nice amber gold clear colour. Shortest head in the history of beer.

S-a cloying malty smell with almost no hops to speak of.

T-mostly the cloying malts with the barest hint of a hop. It's an IPA like Alexander Kieths is an IPA.

M- fine for the abv.

O- not that good...and I used to be a big Brick fan. Things have fallen off since the other guy left. Truly sad to see a Canadian craft brewer shill out for dollars.

Got this at the LCBO

From a 16oz can into a snifter

APPEARANCE: Pours a one finger, looser looking, foamy, off-white head with good retention. Burnt orange in color, clear, with higher levels of carbonation. Head fades to a thin wisp witn lots of carbonation at the top. A foamy cap remains and leaves some lacing down the glass. Okay, but still too carbed for the style.

SMELL: Grainy, bready malts, some caramel notes with light floral aromas as well. Too grainy for the style for sure.

TASTE: Mildly grainy with some caramel malt flavors up front, then more bready sweetness and floral hops at the swallow. Mild yet lingering finish of bready sweetness and some floral hop bitterness. Too bready for me, and relatively boring.

PALATE: Thinner body and higher levels of carbonation. Light on the palate, creamy enough, goes down fine and finishes dry on the palate. Grainy sweetness lingers.

OVERALL: Not horrible by any means, but not my take on the style either. Too grainy and bready, and the feel is too thin and carbonated. If it's a traditional English IPA, then I'm certainly glad we've moved on. Pass.

Corn on the nose. Vegetal in the body. No substantial hop profile. A mediocre cream ale advertised as a traditional IPA. I guess their tradition is Keith's...

Pounder can into a 20 oz shaker.
A - Perfectly clear orange amber color with a nice finger of fizzy white head.
S - Sweet coorn mash and malt, no hop aromas at all.
T - This is an amber ale, not an english ipa by any means. some weird spice and sweet malt.
M - Fizzy and chewy. Lackluster.
O - Awful attempt at an English IPA.

Pours a clear golden amber with a decent-sized though short-lived head. Virtually no smell at all - had to take my time, warm it up and swirl it around to make sure I was right, but it really does smell like nothing.

Moderate caramel sweetness, somewhat underbalanced by wimpy hops. There is bitterness but very little distinctive hop character.

As an IPA it's... just not an IPA. It's about halfway between Keith's and a real IPA, at most.

As an English Pale Ale it's not awful... simple and a little underwhelming, but nothing overtly offensive about it. Seems like it could be massively improved with a little late hops. I did not find an expiry date but my local Beer Store does not move a lot of craft stuff, so maybe it was past its prime.

Pours a pale amber orange, big fluffy white head, quite a bit of lace here as well. Smell is of corn and malt, a bit of earthy hop but not much else in the way of hop or aroma. Taste is a bit better with some caramel and a moderate bitterness, floral-earthy flavours, finishes with an odd dry note. Medium carbonation, medium feel, decent enough mouthfeel. This is nothing to write home about, half the can was plenty and will surely never drink this again.

Can: Poured a medium amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light bitter hops with light caramel malt hops. Taste is also dominated by bitter hops with a limited flavour profile with some lightly sweet caramel malt notes. Body is a bit light with good carbonation. Taste like an IPA that was brewed at the turn of the century.

This is NOT IPA in any shape or form. There are no hops to speak of and there is too much carbonation. This is not even a beginner's IPA. It's just not IPA at all.
This is what you'd call a traditional rip off.
I honestly had a difficult time tasting anything specific in this beer.
There is however a lingering tingle at the the tip of your tongue while drinking this, so if you are into those things, you may want to try this.
Otherwise, these guys should be ashamed of themselves for labeling this beer as they have.
