It appears as though the 2006 Snowstorm was wiped off the board. This is the same recipie, but why was the entire '06 piece deleted? Anyway, I could not reference my 2006 Snowstorm review.
Poured from a 12oz brown bottle into a tulip. The head forms a nice khaki 2 inches. Receeding slow and leaving thick drapes of lace behind. A colar of retention is left.
The beer is black in color with no light penetration.
The aroma is of chocolate roasty grains and a touch of nuttyness with just a hint of smoke.
The taste is of more roasty cereal grains, chocolate, molasses and hints of woodyness. Just a faint bittering of hops on the finish.
Mouthfeel is well carbonated and slightly thick.
Excellent brew, just as it was in 2006.
Now bring the latest Snowstorm into all year availability and I will be happy.

From old, undated notes; poured from the bottle.
Black in color, slight ruby at the edges.
Khaki head, dissipates quickly.
Cream and oats in the nose.
Cream & coffee in the taste; very smooth for a stout. Raw oats as well. Slight metallic aftertaste; far from overwhelming.
Subtle flavors in here; I could see this as a 'summer stout', or one to give beer newbies. A touch too watery for my taste, but if offered one I wouldn't refuse.

Pours a soft, dense head that is tan. Bright floral hops burst with a touch of toasted malt. Black. Starts a bit tart but rich and toasted. Moves into a slight metallic twinge as the floral hops bring up bitterness. Finish is nice, toasted malt. There's a slight almost astringent aspect hidden around.
This isn't too bad. A bit thinner than I like my stouts, and the metallic/astringent quality isn't my favorite.
Actually, seeing this is a "Sweet stout" makes it jump a good half a point in score...though I'm not huge on sweet stouts.
Take my score with a grain of salt. I have zero idea what a "London Sweet Stout" should taste like, hahah
