This beer is my go-to beer, especially for the price. It is great all year round, but especially refreshing in the summertime. I love it paired with a good grillout/tailgate experience. It is not one of the best beers I have had, but is a tasty, reliable beer for your money.

A-Clear with amber color and tan head with a thin lace that hangs on for the duration.
S-Malty aroma with a little alcohol bite.
T-This is where Nordeast shines-Great balance if you like slightly toasted malt, a little heavy on the malt but it works well. Just a kiss of the hops.
M-Medium body. Nice.
D-This is an easy drinker-keeps you wanting more.
Overall-Amazing how much better Nordeast is vs Grain Belt's premium lager. The few times I've had this on tap it's been a little better (Cleaner taste with more robust mouthfeel) than in the bottle. A great alternative to the large scale lagers.

Look: very nice golden color, clear, inviting
Smell: surprisingly very little smell as far as beer goes, but a good smell
Taste: bitter, malty
Feel: heavy, just short of chewy; above average carbonation
Overall: I really like this beer, especially for the price

Will buy again. I forgot about Grain Belt, now I am going to try the regular Grain Belt. Innovate or die. The August Schell Brewing Company appears to be doing that since the beer has been around for 15 years.

Very easy drinking beer with a crusty finish of bread, corn and malt. The maltiness gives it an easygoing, everyday kind of appeal. It the brew to have on hand for a Thursday. Any Thursday.

Thanks to swalden28 for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellow-orange color with a white head. The aroma doesn't have much going on other than a heavy dose of grain and sweet malt. The flavor is very similar, with grain and a little bit of fruit, which I can't really identify. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Fairly straightforward and not offensive, but something I cared too much for.

Serving glass: Poured from tap into Pint glass.
Appearance: Burnished amber with just a light head and not much lacing.
Smell: Light caramel malts - not much else.
Taste: Just barely sweet caramel grainy malts are the highlight, with a very, very light hop finish. Not much complexity, but appreciate the lower sweetness.
Feel: Moderate carbonation, surprisingly ample smooth body for a low abv lager.
Drinkability: Maybe not much going on, but it is well constructed and easy to kick back. Better than the standard Grain Belt.

L: A brilliant gold pour releases streams of bubbles rushing to refresh a 1" white cap with fair to poor retention.
S: It smells of faint corn, light grain, bread dough and very light bread crust
T: lightly sweet, starting with light fruit, bread dough, and a hint of bread crust. A very mild bitterness arrives mid-palate finishing slightly drier with a touch of tartness from the carbonation
F: medium light body and medium high carbonation
O; a drinkable beer with slightly more flavor and character than an American lager, but not much

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass.
Appearance: Clear amber reddish brown with a tint of orange and lots of bubbles. Solid two and a half finger off white head with very good retention and moderate lacing.
Smell: Sweet aroma of grains and caramel malts with a bit of corn. Light hints of earthy hops lingering. Mostly malts.
Taste: Big kick of sweet caramel malts that have a toasty quality. Good amount of grains throughout with a light hint of hop bitterness in the end. Starts very sweet but balances out towards the finish.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Very crisp and smooth. Creamy.
Overall: A solid and easy drinking red lager. Sweet and fairly balanced.
